There are lots of places to get film developed. In smaller areas you might have to send it out, but film is incredibly popular right now. I am actually picking a roll up and dropping another roll off today for my daughter. And I shot and developed a roll of bw yesterday myself.
I didn’t know this🙂
When I bought my first digital system camera in 2007, I asked the guy who was selling the camera to me if there was many that bought film and developed them at his store. He said: no not so many. This was the biggest photo shop in my town, (100 000 inhabitants) I assumed that this haven’t changed. Now I know it has changed😊
Thanks for clarifying this to me👍😊

a lot has changed in 15 years. there are actually film shortages right now because a lot of film sells out immediately upon restocking.

I actually don’t know if this shot is any good. It was an experiment. November 2007.
This is from my town under the library. We have a river that runs through the whole town.
Nikon D40X, Nikkor 18-55 mm
55mm, f/10, iso 400, 1/400s

It's great...stirs my imagination and exudes mystery.

I like photographs that hide information; that lets one's mind wander a bit, creating a narrative.

Appreciates your comment😊
I agree with you 100%. Photos and also paintings that take the viewers mind and thoughts elsewhere. Just your imagination is the limits.
Its only sad that it’s hard to take these mysterious photos🙂

Nice to see someone who understands that!

It's the difference between "taking a photo" and "making a photo."

Being inspired by Daido Moriyama early on when learning photography, for urban photographs and even portraiture (like the photo attached below), I'll intentionally let details drop into the shadows for that purpose. Or jack up the contrast.

Lovely... was just there last week... most of the Aspen have dropped their leaves, but the cottonwoods are still golden yellow.
Many of the Aspens still had color when I went - kinda depended on exactly where you were. I think I would have had even better colors had I gone a week earlier.
