Boys will be boys... A quick snap inside one of a few Nerf gun pellet buckets, dotted around the yard. We have three teenage boys and one 40-something going on 13 year old with a greying beard... ;)

The iPhone 6 is a nice camera. I was surprised it coped with providing as much shadow detail as it's given here. Taken in indirect sunlight.

The Beginnings of a Glacier Park Autumn

The colors were beginning to change up in Glacier when we were there. This was taken along the Going To The Sun Road on the west side of the park on the way to Logan Pass. The haze in the distance was from smoke generated from the wildfires in California.

A ways to go...

Continuing the out-West theme, here's one from West Oak Creek near Sedona from a few years back. Yes, it was as saturated as it seems - the rocks in this area are as red as you can get. As always, comments appreciated

Moonrise over São Lourenço by FriskyFreeze, on Flickr

We were lucky to arrive to this beautiful location on the day of the full moon, and have enjoyed the most gorgeous moonrises for the next couple of evenings (this is 2 days after full moon). The Milky Way was not easy to see with a naked eye, but it did show up faintly in the photos.

This photo is still in beta, as I'm at work and itching to share, but apparently I forgot to copy the raw files into my computer, and just did a quick edit on the jpeg. Because I am at a very novice level with night photo processing, I'm considering posting this to the "this is not a contest" thread, but gotta dig out the raw file first.

Hope you enjoy the photo and if anyone is interested, I can totally send you a link to the house this was shot from - it didn't look half as bad when the rising sun replaced the moon, and the beach is only a 5 minute walk away.

A bit of urban decay

After all of the beautiful landscape and nature shots of late, here is a bit of urban decay (Liverpool). Comments always appreciated.
