Good call and true.

I'd already lost interest by then…you can finish the legs if you like. ;)

Ha! I guess you're not a thigh guy it seems.

Hi guys,

I've been at Disney World for the past week with my new Panasonic GX7. We're heading home today. :(

What lens are you using along with your gx7? Big fan of the Panasonic line! I was an owner of the GF1 myself.

Another beauty from you Doylem.

I can spot your work now without needing to see your name next to it.

Thanks... I've just upgraded from a Nikon D200 and kit lens to a 610 (with a couple of better lenses). The 'look' of my pix has a lot to do with always using a tripod: trying to get the best out of that kit lens. With the 610 I feel more confident about using it hand-held... upping the ISO, with no apparent loss of definition... or gain in noise. So I'm hoping to keep using the tripod for the landscape shots, but do people pix hand-held. Maybe that will change the way my pix look...

Morris dancers in York today...

Sunset, yesterday. Huntington Beach
Silhouette of a lifeguard tower.

I really like this photo - great detail in the silhouettes and they are very interesting too.

I would probably have cropped more of the bottom half expanse of blackness out, maybe to maintain the rule of thirds but appreciate that if you wanted to retain the proportions of the frame, you might have lost some of the silhouette details.

......Thanks....Mine for today...Inushuk Cloud Over Black Spruce

Nice. I was reading about the expose to the right method the other night. Got my steps all lined up for post. Had a quick bash thw other night, bit cloudy so waiting for a clear night and hopefully i can grab something as good as this!

Thanks for the comments...always appreciated...

I'm also a Panasonic fan. I have a few Lumix cameras, FZ150, GH3, TS5 (waterproof) and now the GX7. I got the GX7 kit with the 20mm 1.7 lens. It was a great combo to carry around Disney World!

My wife asked me why I'd bother photographing the moon. I said that if MacRy can photograph a peg bag I can photograph the moon. She thinks I'm nuts.

Took a couple of cat pics this evening with one of my favorite Nikon lenses.

Here is one I caught of my gentlest cat in an almost wild, jungle cat moment.

I loved the 20mm 1.7!! Great choice of gear!

Back to the fine corduroy for me.

Just start shooting the peg bag, she'll have no problems with you capturing the moon! ;)

Bang-on shot, with superb detail.

Love the shallow DOF, amazing colour rendition and the detail.

As promised to Cheese&Apple, a photo taken by my Dad, developed and mounted in 1963.
I'm guessing it was taken around the Minehead area in Somerset as we took our holidays there during the 60s.

On the back is a 'Highly Commended' label from the Medway Camera Club, and his writing - Voightlander Vito BL, Pan F, 2 secs, F4, hand held.

Cheers :)

Whoops..

Farewell
by drtruett, on Flickr

I was asked to photograph a wedding. I declined because I've only been the backup shooter at ONE wedding previously, annnd the bride is family. A very scary thought indeed... But she insisted, so I decided I would agree to with a huge disclaimer that this is my first wedding going solo. Overall it was a pleasant experience and had a fun time!
