Nice. These are the pictures I miss since moving to Sony.

On my Canon I had some decent if not stellar reach but there still isn't a credible super tele option for the Sony without going the adapted lens route.

So totally envious of this shot. Nicely done to get the harvest colour too.

Nice shot there. Wonder though if maybe capture the reflection in the water more, maybe longer exposure? Dont know I am fascinated with reflections all of a sudden and I keep messing them up.
Thanks ken. This was with the 70-300mm at 300mm on the 6D. Pretty highly cropped to get this size but this lens is sharp enough to get away with it.

Too breezy, that's why the reflection wasn't so clear.

I did however realise that 19mm isn't wide enough when there is no room to back away from a subject, so I've allowed my GAS to buy me a Samyang 12mm f/2 (got a bonus coming with this month's pay).

Cheers :)

Cheetah cubs at about 12 weeks old.

D4S_5385-XL.jpg

They were waiting on mom who had a fresh Wildebeest kill.

The young Cheetah are not strong enough yet to chew through the hide of a Wildebeest so they have to wait for the adult to get things started but mom was resting.

Cheetah, the fastest land animal, will hit speeds of over 100 km/h when chasing down another animal but they expend a lot of energy doing it and will need to rest for long periods after the chase.

I love this composition, but something looks a little off in the colouring to my mind. Not sure if its the filter or processing.

See what you mean AFB, it certainly looks a lot warmer here than on Flickr - repost below..see if that makes a difference. Sorry for a double-post.

Better. Strange how here and Flickr looked different. Does kind of make me want to head to north wales which is the closest waterfalls to me.
There are certainly a few good waterfalls in North Wales - but also some in Derbyshire that might be worth a go (have a look at Middle Black Clough on my Flickr pages).
