Another shot of Beavertail Lighthouse in Jamestown, RI.
Thanks ken. This was with the 70-300mm at 300mm on the 6D. Pretty highly cropped to get this size but this lens is sharp enough to get away with it.

Cheers. I'm in the US at the moment myself (DC) so unlikely to get a trip to B&H - exchange rate after Brexit vote doesn't help either...A lot of canon lenses seem to come in for a lot of stick: almost as if they have unreasonably high expectations placed on them. I'm happy with what I have (leaving GAS aside).I found a perfect condition used 70-300 at B&H and took some shots over the weekend with it and my a6300. I really like the lens and I'll post some shots as I go, it's a lot sharper than I expected and the contrast, color rendition and bokeh are all very nice. I'm not sure why this lens seem to get so much stick, I know it's not fast but at longer focal lengths that's not really an issue ... Love the shot by the way.
Classic Beemer in a colour only that era could produce...I know this isn't the most compelling shot but after seeing tcphoto's shot ...

Nice! Brings back memories. Back in 1982 when stationed in Germany I had a 72 BMW 3.0 CSI (not a CSL..I wish, but it did have fuel injection). Icelandic blue with blue leather interior and of course it was a 4mt. Fogs front and back and the big tool kit in the trunk lid. What a great car. Sold it when I left and later found out that it had burned to the ground. Sad. Well, current ride isn't a 3.0 CSI but I'll just have to make do. BTW 2013 Audi S4. CheersA local car show.
