Kenoh, RCAFBrat is correct. Horses/cattle walk up the ramp to get from the corral up onto the trailer. There is a one-word term for it that I can't remember at the moment. The photo was taken about an hour outside Roswell, New Mexico, heading southeast on US 285. By the way, you can't find lodging in southern New Mexico/West Texas to save your life by late afternoon when the oil business is booming.

Wonderful POV and good light on the tower section really adds to the moodiness of the image!Splashed out on a Firecrest 16-stop ND. Only played a bit with it so far but I'm really impressed by the lack of colour cast and the minimal loss in clarity. An example of a 6-minute exposure of a local church. Literally 2 minutes of post in Capture One and voila. Comments always appreciated.

Cheers AoO- I don't know if this kind of style is getting a bit clichéd but it seems to work for this shot. We don't get the sunshine of your recent Brisbane trips so the ND filter serves to give that gothic lookWonderful POV and good light on the tower section really adds to the moodiness of the image!
Oh, a suggestion, get your shutter speed to 1/250th before applying the 16 stopper, then set your exposure for 4.5 minutes. It works perfectly for me and doesn't overheat the sensor of the 6D, which I find happens when you go beyond 5 minutes.

Feeling the cold this morning and felt this simple, dreamy summer shot would warm me up a little. What a lovely evening it was.

Thank you very much - it's a 3 shot bracket, combined using Google Nik HDR Efex, with a little bit of fiddling with the curves to get the cloud effect.Another cracker here, the colour an contrast you get in your photos is truly wonderful, is it a single exposure or multi?
The clouds are fantastic too there is real depth to them.
I love your landscape shots keep 'em coming.
You got it right. Good memory. There are 3 Frenchy's restaurants in Clearwater Beach, the one you mentioned is the original. We ate there 4 times. Dozen fresh oysters for $12 and a bowl of mussels for $5. Sit at the bar, not the tables; you'll be treated more like a local.Visited with a few school buddies during spring break in 1990; we tried everything on the menu except the fish paste sandwich (they were out) and liked it so much we even bought the t-shirts. Went back the next day for lunch but the line was around the corner and we had to hit the road.
Not sure now if I got the name right (no idea where the t-shirt is)!
Cheers
I've tried a few HDR shots myself, its very effective getting the shadows and highlights and gives the pictures anther dimension. Clearly, you a better at it than I am but, even though I think I may have posted this before, heres one of my efforts at HDR taken from the top of the Eiffel Tower looking down on the Palais de Justice. The green in the centre is actually water not grass.Thank you very much - it's a 3 shot bracket, combined using Google Nik HDR Efex, with a little bit of fiddling with the curves to get the cloud effect.
How did you manage to do a 6 minute exposure and get the clock to stay at 12(ish) and not move by 6 minutes? was it broken or did you that after in pp?
Great shot with an almost eerie, atmospheric feel to it. Good one.
.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day - in this case definitely broken.
