Whilst in Brisbane recently, I had the chance to go over to the nearby Moreton Island for a spot of Humpback whale watching! That was the highlight of my stay. I got to see a couple of juveniles breach completely out of the water, but was so gobsmacked by it, I forgot I had a camera with me, both times, and only managed to capture the wake left behind as they landed! I won't bother sharing those with you all.

So I missed Cars & Coffee this morning. Had to attend to birthday present hunting and cake gathering for the wife's b'day tomorrow. Success for both...whew! Substituted Coffee & Car.:)

Wise man! Good move on your behalf, there's always another C'n'C around the corner! :)

I've tried a few HDR shots myself, its very effective getting the shadows and highlights and gives the pictures anther dimension. Clearly, you a better at it than I am but, even though I think I may have posted this before, heres one of my efforts at HDR taken from the top of the Eiffel Tower looking down on the Palais de Justice. The green in the centre is actually water not grass.

I would very much like to hear more about this shot. Where is it (London I would think?) and how was it taken?

Definitely in Paris. Looking down through the steel fencing (gripping my camera exceptionally tightly due to the 200ft drop) the photo shows the steel fence below.
It isn't possible to get your head through the fencing so you have to hold the camera on the outside of the fence, it makes it quite difficult to get a good shot because you cant really see the angle of the photo, also, i hate heights so i couldn't really look down either!

It is a bit scary when you realise how high up you are, then i thought about what if i dropped my camera from that height, if it hit someone it wouldn't just kill them it would probably flatten them, its a bl**dy long way down. I suppose thats why the signs say you shouldn't do it!!

Pretty sure the Eiffel Tower is in Paris ;)

Thank you very much. And of course it makes sense once it is pointed out. :)

You are so lucky to have seen one of these especially in this condition. 3.0 CSL (L, lightweight). What a beauty. I owned a 72 3.0 CSi (fuel injected as opposed to carbs). What great cars, wish I still had mine("Odin", yeah we name our cars...Icelandic Blue with blue leather interior). Have a photo but it's on a slide. Might have to look for it.

Yes, it is a beautiful example and I remember meeting him at last years event. He's thinking about selling it but it's going to be priced just south of $300K and then he told me how much he paid for it many years ago.
