Wanted to see Milky Way last night but didn't check that it's going to be right next to the moon before I went. Anyways, here's my first attempt with my Canon 35mm lens

There is something that sets this apart from other flower shots I see. It made my look twice - which is unusual for me with flower shots. I like the stem leading in from the top and really like the focus, colours and framing. The unusual flower also has something to do with it. Great image!
Thank you! These really need to be staked but I didn’t know that until recently so they fall over and keep growing but at weird angles. :)

A cloudy day covered the peaks of the Grand Tetons most of our time there which was disappointing. But, then the clouds started to clear away and I took a few shots. I like the way this looks in Black & White.

Shot 7/9/19 at 11am...about an hour before we left for Yellowstone.
Processed in Capture One (trying to find an Aperture Alternative)

I’ve always wondered what would happen in this scenario. Surprised the Milky Way came out so well will the moon in front of it and such a low ISO IF 640.

Was this at Joshua Tree NP?

Download Moon Seeker if you have an iOS device. That will tell where the moon is and it’s phase.

I use Star Walk 2 but I didn't check the forecast before I drove to Joshua Tree. I just took the photo since I'm there anyways

Oh wow! I'm so surprised you know the ISO. It's 13 seconds at f/1.4 and ISO 640 to minimize the star trails. RAW format really pushes the sensor's dynamic range abilities
