Haha, the beach is like 1 km away, but would probably take you 3 hours to walk to rather than 10 minutes because of the bush and type of terrain it is. ;) I had a blast quad-biking there. ;)

Thanks for the kind words,

Shot with a table lamp shining on my arm reaching towards a wall with the lights off.

One more Northern Lights pic from me. I have edited (very basically - still haven't got around to firing up Photoshop!) out two long shuttle speed induced car lights from the mountain base as well as two lots of house lights - I like the inky blackness as the picture now looks.

<snip amazing aurora pic>

Very nice indeed! Can we see the original (not full-res of course just to see how much the editing did), or perhaps you already posted that in the demi forum?

Da comrade, my pleasure :D

It's had the light removed as mentioned - and straightened, which I'd forgotten about!

Cradle Mountain, November 4th, 2006. :)

I climbed that mofo to the top and almost fell along the way. :eek: I know what you think, but I'm quite sure I didn't edit the original RAW file. It just happened to be a nice day.

I took this at Pine Mountain KY. I got a little over exposed in the upper right hand corner, guess I should try to fix that. I dont have the EXIF data right now with me, I can post it later.

Something about the "frame within frame" shots is very appealing to me. Very effective in B&W. Terrific pic.

Thanks. These type of shots are a lot of fun to take, I don't often find good examples though, so I was excited to come across this scene. I have another one (somewhat different) from the same area that I'll post in a few days.

Meh, not the most exciting photo. I guess I would have shot this at a longer shutter time if I could have, but it was taken in somewhat low light conditions, and I was using a slow enough shutter speed as it was, and it was taken handheld.
