I don't know, I really like this one for some reason, even though it is mostly dark and taken with a pretty bad point 'n' shoot camera. This is, by the way, from the roof of the Fine Arts Center at my school, I may or may not have climbed up a low roof to ger up there.

I posted a photo around 8-10 days ago of the dunes in Tasmania (taken Nov 4th, 2006) in this thread.

Here's another, but at a lower angle. :) I can't decide which I like more.

Here's your previous one :)

I also like them both -- I'm leaning more towards the new one. It gives me more of an emotional impact because of the angle of the tree stump. I feel like I'm looking "up" at it, as if I'm trapped down in the valley :)

Across the street from where I took the panorama I posted a couple of days ago, there is a palace compound where people who thought they were better than every one else lorded it over their toiling slaves and peasants for centuries. Now, the place crawls with wee children and tourists, soaking up the historical atmosphere.

I know it's dead center (no rule of thirds) but it was cold and I was wet.
Trying to get a decent sunrise shot on the wrong coast.

This one was taken a while ago but I never could figure out what to do with it. I've finally decided on how to edit it!

Had some Canon reps come to the office today. Nothing like playing with a 600 f/4, 500 f/4, 400 f/2.8, etc. Tomorrow's game - Baylor vs. OU - should be entertaining enough with these toys.

multi-shot panorama

This is at the 20-minute mark of my usual running route, about halfway up a local mountain. What you see is a downhill view of a typical forest tomb of some fairly prominent personage. Descendants visit on holidays to perform rites of respect and to maintain the site. One finds these tombs--some simple mounds, some elaborated with polished stone and statuary--scattered all over the mountains around here.

My First Shot of the Day!

Hi all, I've been on these boards a while, but just started doing work I thought would be worth sharing.

Here's something I took yesterday:
