Fantastic!
I love asian cities. You can never find people dressed like that anymore. In my eyes, the way they're dressed is just so interested, especially to photograph.
Suit and a flat cap!! niiiiice
Taken Yesterday 11/13/06. On the way home from Florida.
Taken Saturday Nov 11th. Went to a friend's place, and one of their friends brought their 2 children. This is the only time she ever sat still. She's blurry in all the other photos.

Is there something special about these birds that makes this picture unique? They blend into the background too much for my liking; maybe a better crop would help?
...bear in mind, I'm not too great at shots of wildlife
I'm wondering why the cactus couldn't be a bit sharper and the background be a bit more blurry; it's hard to figure out where to focus initially.
The black border is a bit distracting too (it's thick compared to the size of the picture)
Do you have a macro lens/macro mode you could use to get even closer to the cactus, to where only its spine was in the picture - that might be more interesting
^^Haha, that's pretty cool.
Well in his defense, I actually think the sharp part of the cactus is where it should be. I'd agree with you about the background needing to be more blurry though. Actually, I can't tell if the background is already blurry or not because it looks like the backdrop is a bedsheet, and who knows how sharp the print on a bedsheet is.
And besides, it looks like he's using the kit lens, which isn't going to make his background more blurry unless he moves a lot closer to the cactus, which may ruin the perspective he wants to capture.

This is a place downtown with City Hall to the left, not far from the Canadian embassy where i was renewing my passport that morning. Across the street behind me is an old palace / museum complex where I snapped some pic.s I'll post soon.
