This thread is still going strong and it's good to see many newcomers. However, please be reminded of iGary's simple rules from post 1 quoted below. At the very least post a date, location, and brief description. EXIF data is optional, but nice to see.

Thought it would be fun to share one of your best every day - doesn't matter what it is, just as long as it is decent (no nudes or overly graphic shots). You can add a picture everyday as long as it is different.

It does not matter when the picture was taken, as long as you only post ONE SINGLE IMAGE per day. Make sure to post a date, location and description.

Please use this format when posting:

Blue Angels Flight Demonstration, U.S. Naval Academy/Severn River 5/24/06

And if you like, post your EXIF data, so others may learn if they want to - but please use the following format (optional). If you do not know what you have or only have a couple of bits, post those, but in the order listed below, leaving out the titles of what you do not have, please.

Camera: Canon EOS 20D
ISO: 400
Focal Length: 220mm
Shutter/Aperture: 1/1000 @ f11
Lens: EF 100-400L f4.5-5.6 IS USM

First Time!

OK guys (and girls), my first time ever (so please go easy on me). I'm just getting into photography and so have only bought a simple P/S, just to get myself used to the basics and working on my composition. Anyway, I shot this in my uni dorm room whilst I was meant to be working, just playing around with my Minstrels (if anyone outside the UK doesn't know what these are...think the best chocolate ever!).... What do you think?

Good to be back!

Hi all
It's been awhile since I posted any photos, but I'm hoping to get back into it.

Fiirst off, Welcome to the forums. :D
Some of the best photos in this thread were taken with little p&s cameras.
So, don't let that be a crutch. You composition looks very good with a nice Depth of Field. The only thing you could try is to adjust your WB for indoor lighting. Most P&S types don't handle auto WB quite as well as Dslr's.
Anyways welcome and keep them coming.
