From top of the Rockfeller center, 6 or 7 pictures stuck together, going to get it blown up to A3 size, best picture(s) from the trip.

Disclaimer: I was a little nervous about posting this, but it seemed to get a decent reception on Flickr, so that calmed my nerves a little bit. It's an old BB handgun I found in the basement, not a real pistol. I abhor gun violence, and to be perfectly honest I think that guns should not be owned by private citizens.

That being said, the MacRumors bunch are pretty sensible and mature, so I don't think I need to worry too much.

The Dark Hedges

Just got back from a trip with the family to Ireland (both Republic and Northern), this was one of my favourite photos from near Armoy, Northern Ireland:

This kind of spider has featured in some of my best pictures this summer. Thanks, what ever it is that is responsible for the great beauty of the world! Good job.

Lower Grand Coulee

I went to Eastern Washington about a week ago, and saw the coulees out there. It's a truly remarkable site. Apparently the coulees were flat planes at the time of the last ice age. When an ice dam somewhere in Montana broke, a huge amount of water rushed through the plateaus, carving out these canyons within a matter of weeks. It's fairly impressive.

Great shot Colin (?) I live about 60 miles from Armoy.

(Armoy was the home of the great motor cycle racer Joey Dunlop r.i.p. )

What a coincidence! It was definitely a beautiful area, we drove around the entire island, but the area up near the Northern coast was the most striking. We stayed overnight in Ballintoy, and visited most of the standard touristy spots, but I liked going through some of the less travelled areas like Armoy (they always seem to have more character, you're seeing the real deal instead of the tourist trap).

Great for photography as well, when it rained (which it did a lot) it just added 'mood' to the pictures...had a great time, for sure.

Cheers, Colin.

FYI: Try wrapping
around your URL. That way it will show up right in the thread w/o people clicking on it. That said, it is a great picture. I love the color.
Thank you for that tip! I spent twenty mins trying to figure out how to make i so that people didnt have to click on the link, then I just gave up..Thanks again!
