The black and white effect really makes that picture. I love it!

Wow, Thanks, It was a colour photo but I decided it would look better in B+W... Ive got a roll of 35mm black and white film that is itching to be shot... Maybe I could just shoot trees with it...

BTW, Im 16 and in loving your "How to become a freelance photographer" post!

Im in the market for a budget dSLR (Maybe even the cheap look a like SLR's like the fujifilm ones under £200)

Could you recommend anything? (I might make a second post...)

At the moment tho im learning how to frame and capture detail with my point and shoot, and having fun! :)

Personally, I recommend straying away from Kodak (I work in the Sears Electronics department - Kodak Digitals are fantastic for simplicity and basic point and shoot photography, but nothing more...). Nikon, Canon, Sony, and Olympus are the most popular brands. How much is £200 in dollars?

This is one of your less impressive photos (in my opinion, of course), although the rippling in the corner adds a nice effect...

A very cool picture - but not just because of the animal...

...the focus does it, for me. You can tell that the camera focused on the deer's head alone, so that the grass around the head comes in perfect focus - everything behind the head, then, fades into the background...

Very, very nice!

Thank you! Can't win 'em all every time.... LOL!

Actually I was only out there for a very brief time quickly checking out/testing a new lens but then had to get inside again because it looked as though we were going to have a thunderstorm. Turns out the storm passed over us after all, but by the time I'd done some things and had dinner, it had gotten dark....

I am looking forward to getting out tomorrow and having a lot more time to really put the lens through its paces.

Yeah I saw your other post on the new lens - congrats on the new purchase.

A new lens, for a dSLR, is almost like buying a new camera - very, very exciting!

Never give up! It's going to be a fun road, tough at times but really fun. I'm only 17 (ok and a half) and i've been shooting for the past several years with digital, coming up on 2 years now for DSLRs. Getting started young gives us a big advantage.

Had just shaved by flashlight (again) and took a look outside to see if there was enough light to safely go up to the lodge for breakfast. Not quite, but it was a nice image to capture.

As to the line...I think it's an airplane. However, this picture has a shooting star.

Didn't waste any time in playing with the new lens. Hope you share with us the other new toy you got. :D (Still feeling bad about that. :) )

Does anybody think I could possibly sell any of these? I am only 15, so I am not sure how many people will take me seriously.
