Looking good, Wes. It's cool to see where you've come from with your shots, and that you are getting into making photos.

@gekko513:

No, I just did lots of tweaking in photoshop, Like correcting the levels, The contrast colour etc, On the first one I burnt the sky a bit to make it more dramatic, and on the second I edited the colour balance to make a Lomographic like effect! (I really want a Holga so bad...)

I wish I had a DSLR so I didn't have to fake these effects! hehe :eek:

Thanks for the comment too, C+C helps me improve! :D

... not a great shot, but I'm learning Aperture and getting some work out of my 50mm f/1.8. :)

If your ISO were a lot lower (say around 200) your photo would not have as much noise in it.
Yeah ... I didn't realize that until I'd already taken the shot and transferred it. Oops. :)

I'll set it back up in a few days and try again. Thanks.

Mike, I really like this portrait. I had a look at your website. Nice pics in your folio. I think the baby is my favourite.

Very nice job on the pan here, I never seem to get such sharpness in my subject when I try it. It's something more I need to practice.

MikeTeezie, I like this portrait quite a lot, especially the 'feel' of the colors. It seems very vibrant to me, almost otherworldly. Did you do post-processing to achieve this or is it 'as shot'? Either way, well done.

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I'm not sure that you would need a dslr. Surely a decent point and shoot will let you control the shutter speed. No tripod, handheld at about 1/60s. Must have had a drink to calm the shaking hands.:)

I like the patio shot by the way. Gives it an almost holga-like feel. I'd like to see more of these.

Cheers. Trust me, there are a hell of a lot that go in the trash. Oh well...try, try & try again.:eek:

Hey, thanks. I'm so behind - trying to add shots from sessions long ago, but new stuff keeps piling up to edit and get online for orders.

Oh well, it's a good problem to have.
