The way the label is, I cant really get a good shot of it. This is Brooklyn Black Ops from Brooklyn Brewery. So good

Forgot I had a pic of it and a few other bottles I picked up on Friday

I think I recognise a bottle of Backwoods Bastard (from the stable of the inimitable Founder's Brewery) there; a powerful and quite splendid beer, in my perhaps - prejudiced opinion.

Johann The Mango Thief by Aslin Beer Co. in Herndon, VA. As the name states it is bursting with notes of mango, and you can taste the hint of vanilla in it. Quite enjoyable.

Aslin puts out some good stuff. I've not been by there yet, but I hear going to the brewery on certain releases there is quite a line.

It's Black Friday which means it's time for the annual Bourbon County Release. One Brand Stout, and one Barleywine which is the best Barleywine I've ever had in my life. I also made sure to pick up The Abyss by Deschutes which is an Imperial Stout aged in Scotch Barrels. There were two other variations, but I opted for this one.

Got my BCS stash while visiting the in-laws in Tampa. The only other variant they had was the barleywine, but I wasnt too fond ofnit when I tried it last year. Got 10 bottles here, and another 6 from friends waiting for me when I get back home to Virginia

Can I ask what BCS is? I have relatives in Tampa and Orlando, and I would love to pick up some good stuff on my next visit.

I am pretty certain that I came across a Bourbon County Imperial Stout some years ago, and - if this is the beverage I recall - can highly recommend it.

Looks a terrific stash - do enjoy.

What a wonderful label.

Hope the beverage inside the can matches the promise on the label. Do enjoy.

it's as if "Bob" from Bob's Burgers is creating their beer names for them... lol

It's funny, isn't it?

I find that I like labels on wine bottles - for the most part - to be sober and understated, but love funky and original and colourful (take a look at the labels for the beers brewed by Brewery Achouffe in Belgium - they are gorgeous) labels on beer.
