Where are the double deuces man?
I really like those new highlanders, probably the only car I like in their lineup right now other than the Tacoma.
I heard that the ride was mushy on those though? Is that true?
Gorgeous! Hopefully, I will be upgrading my Camry next year to another one. The '07's are amazing, and drive so much better than my '00. Quality issues are not reassuring though, but i'm sure Toyota has worked out the kink's for the '08 and '09. But the Highlander, phew I love the color. What is the sticker for somethin like that?
No new Toyota in the North American market has "sports car handling".
I have the Titanium-tipped exhaust installed on my RX-8 yesterday. It makes more deep sounds when I step on the gas.
I'm not one of those that thinks huge chrome alloys are good looking but I think that slightly bigger alloys would make the car. Steer clear of chrome.
i'm ok with factory 19's, especially with all the snow we get here in the souther tier of NY... the dubs come out in the spring!
i'm here to tell ya that the thing has a tight, yet forgiving ride. it really handles like its on rails. the body roll you would expect out of an suv is non existant. the ride at highway speeds is comparable to any lexus suv I've ever drive, and nicer than the gx - lx series. (obv)
The color is sweet. I wanted to do satin metal brush guard and rear signal guards on it, but no dice. you cant even get vent visors for em yet. it has the beige interior, lots of wood, and the main controlls for volume, temp and such are oversized and have a great textile feel to them. white led lighting illuminates the center counsole at nite.
iim pretty sure i have everything but navigation and dvd, and the sticker on mine is $38983. the hybrid with nav is around $45,795, plus dvd!
i guess i'm comparing its handling to other similary priced suv's on the market.
I love it to bits. Handling is incredible (after moving from my Mum's Vauxhall Corsa/Fiat Punto to this I noticed an amazing difference) and it gets around 50mpg. I don't think I could have bought a better car with the money I had to spend.
In April it was about £7000 and insurance (my first car, aged 19 at the time) cost me £1400 for 10 months with Admiral. Hoping that it'll come down a bit when it's time to renew.
For me to insure a car like a Corsa or a Punto on my own they were quoting about £800 or £900 so I though that the extra was worth it and it definitely is!
To me if you want a real luxury car you have to get something European. If you want something with just sheer brute power for a cheap price and a crappy interior buy an American car.
I disagree with this statement above. If you want a luxury car with power and a ****** interior get American. Please, I invite you to step inside the latest Cadillac CTS. Or for that matter, a Cadillac DTS. Yes they might not be the nicest interiors, but I believe both look better than any interior that BMW has to offer. Plus, GM has made great strides to go for the quality look. Also, I invite you to take a look at the Lincoln MKZ. As for European, I have been inside plenty of BMW's and found their interiors far less superior than any Cadillac, Lexus, or Toyota I have driven.
I am not just basing this on Cadillac. What about Ford explorers and expeditions? And for the record, BMW's are probably the best looking cars on the road with the cheapest looking interiors ever.
All I can say about american cars is: Plastic Wood?
Not even veneer? Or anything that actually looks like wood.
