2008 VW Rabbit
Upgraded from an MKIV Golf and loving it so far. Been modding here and there to make it a little more sexy. :)

Here are a couple pics of my car and my Dad's. My Dad's is the really cool one :

The '85 Porsche 928 is mine and the '62 Corvette is Dad's. I've had mine for a few years; Dad bought his back in '66 and has had it ever since. That's longer than he's had me! They're both kind of transition years. the 928 is the first 32 valve and the last year before the S4, and Dad's is the last of the solid axles before they went to the Stingray.

Here's the 928 in my driveway. The '91 Volvo in the background is/was also mine. That's another story ...

2007 KIA Magentis (Optima in the U.S.) EX-V6 4-door sedan.

2 1/2 years old, +33,000 km, still love it madly.

(This is an LX and not the Canadian version, but the same mysterious dark red colour.)

nice, love the rx7!
i'm deciding if i should purchase a fun economical car (scion xb) for commute and just zipping around town. at the same time i'm trying to justify if it's really necessary to have 2 cars (i already have a 4runner which i love and trading it in is not an option).

This is what happens when the driver of an Escalade decides that it is unnecessary to stop at a red light. She had 223k miles on her at the time of death, with a whole lot of life left in her. There are more pics here http://web.me.com/seamus26/Site/Old_Blue.html if you are interested.

My dream came true yesterday, and I got a Mini Cooper!
It's amazing. It's such a fun car. It's convertible and just really awesome. It's my first car, and I feel really fortunate to be able to drive such an awesome vehicle. I'll post pictures once the dark clouds go away and I can find time to detail it. :D

I dunno, because I'm not American.

Here in the UK there have been problems with people cloning number plates (e.g. fitting the same reg to identical car), then using it for robberies, or just whizzing through speed cameras and getting some unsuspecting soul a fine.

What's the deal with Americans not showing their number plates?

It's not like someone's going to track down your registration details and come steal the car... Who would be bothered?

It's quite good practise, I used to be a member of a car forum and like Xorro said there is the risk that someone could clone your plates but also (And this is more relevant for a car forum that here) if you post a picture of your car with the plate showing and then mention how you did 130mph down a country road the other day...

I guess it's paranoia but you can never be too safe :)
