Is 29mpg considered good and economical in the US?!

remember, US gallons are different to UK gallons.

29mpg US seems to be about 35MPG in the UK.. still though, I would have thought that an Elantra like that would be getting more than 35MPG..

that's 8 litres per 100km!

It would be getting a lot better MPG if I was driving on the highway. 90% of the miles I drive are on little two-lane rural roads and in town, which has a speed limit of 25 mph.

Consolidate Audi and VW since VW owns Audi.

Nothing against the Evo, it is a good compact performance vehicle. But, ricers ruin everything for true car enthusiasts. Something I just made.....

His evo is a completely different machine then your bmw, his car is a road going rally car that is a great performer, while your bmw is a intro luxury car that is great performer at what it does. Two different machines apples to oranges IMO. So yeah to get this thread back on track here is my first car, a 2000 subaru impreza 2.5rs.

With 2 turbo's. The dinan tunned 135i is running low 12's on street tires.

Pretty ****ing good considering a gallardo runs the same.

Have some sense of style and enjoy a twin turbo audi s4.

I have a twin turbo wagon that will put bus lengths on that stock EVO. Ask me how I know this. Bc that 2.0 liter is only impressive when it is a 2.2 liter with a gt turbo and an AMS tune.

I have driven many evo's. One of the best handling cars I have ever driven. But the interior is far inferior to and german car. So with that said how often do you track your car?

Probably never.

Get a german car that will out run that tiny 2.0 and then you don't have to say I drive an AWD Lancer.


WHy not just get a early 90's talon or Eclipse? It's the same motor and you can pick them up for a few bucks.

Hey run meth injection on that car and the Texas heat won't heat soak your car after 5 min.

BMW really screwed thierselves on the 135i. WIth a flash, downpipes and cat back it is putting down much better numbers than the m3. I think it is one of the best cars out this year.
