So, you don't own a car, and you hate it when things, specifically gas, is wasted?? Why are you in a thread about cars then?

Just because I don't own a car anymore doesn't mean I don't know anything about them and can't tell the good from the bad. Using a Yukon to drive one person around and carry beer to look cool, while not hauling anything or carrying a bunch of people, is a waste of gas. You can do the same thing in a smaller SUV where less gas is wasted.

Using cars to get from place to place is not a waste of gas; it's how we live. But having massive cars to make up for what little is in one's pants IS a waste of gas.

Kid, you keep talking about all the 'waste of gas' with people driving SUV's and trucks, yet I've never heard you speak negatively about any sports cars. You obviously love fast cars, as that's what you mainly talk about in this thread and you have a Ferrari logo on your public profile. Either you don't know cars as well as you think you do, or you just enjoy being an ass.

Either way, here's some information for you:

Even though I honestly couldn't give a rats arse about this argument, I feel that if you want to drive a big truck then go for it, but thats not a very good comparison. A super car isn't driven every day, only on special occasions, the KM/M they rack up is minimal compared to a truck/car/whatever that is driven every day.
Though you are right, my step dad had a Holden R8, a 300kw 6L V8, before that a Toyota Land Cruiser, and now a Porsche Cayanne Turbo (Twin turbo V8) and a Range Rover Sport (V8D). So he has had three 4WD, and the Holden drank the most, by far.

I'm sure that does happen, and I also know a lot of people who only use their trucks on the weekends or for 'special occasions.' The point I was making, is that this kid lauds sportscars while belittling SUV/truck drivers SOLELY speaking of fuel economy. It's absurd.

This is the worst argument. Who owns a Ferrari and drives it everyday?

Why don't you try comparing that Tahoe to a GT-R or a Porsche? Those are sports cars that can be driven everyday and they get much better gas mileage.

Yeah, but it's tough to tow my Travel Trailer, boat, and atvs with a Prius or a sports car. I have a truck because I need a tow vehicle. End of story. Make an an electric vehicle that can tow my stuff (that's reasonably affordable) and I'm in. Some of us actually use our trucks and SUVs for stuff other than a trip to the mall. Tough to throw a dead elk or deer in the Prius!;)

I got nothing against that. You actually use your truck for what its designed for. You are one of the few.

P.S. I am not making a pro-Prius argument.

I can't get a picture of my car right now, but its the same as this

...its a Chevy Astro. :D I love mine. It only has one working window, and the AC is busted (I've paid to get it fixed 4 times, and it works for a few days and then stops again). So it gets really hot in there, but I still love it. Its a BEAST

The VQ is not an engine known for great gas mileage. I've seen figures in the 12s for small cars like the G35 and such.

Why get a sports car if you aren't going to take it to the track and race it around? Most people I see in sports cars are douches who just try to look cool.
Seriously. It's not like you are paying for his gas. Lay off

By the way, The 2011 GT-R gets the exact same as the Tahoe Lurchdubious posted.

I have a question for you then. What would you say is the intended use for an Eagle Talon? It can seat 4 people, so is it supposed to be used mainly for transporting people? It also has a high-performance turbocharged engine, so am I only supposed to drive it at a track? Oh, and it also has AWD, so should I only be driving it when it is raining or snowy?

Just want to check with you to make sure I'm meeting all the regulations for "Intended Use" with my 2nd car. I don't want to get scolded and have my manhood made fun of. Though, it only gets about 9mpg, so I'm probably screwed either way, huh?

That's the "OMG DUMP YOUR AWFUL CAR AND BUY A PRIUS!" type of argument. It's obviously better for the environment (and your wallet) to compromise on 1 car than it is to have multiple.

It's not about the money; Gas won't last forever and wasting it for no reason is ridiculous.

It'll last until we're all dead, so who cares? And if not, no big deal. They'll find other ways to power cars. They probably have that now, they're just waiting until gas is gone to use it.

Got new wheels and tires on my 3! A very nice upgrade from the bald 15" tires and small wheels that were on there before. The wheels are bronze Drag DR-31 while the tires are Toyo Proxes 4.

2000 Camaro, 3.8L V6. Not as fast as the V8 model obviously, but still great to drive. I've done a few mods to it such as 32mm front/22mm rear swaybars, KYB GR2 struts/shocks all around, BMR strut bar, Dynomax ST muffler with dual exhaust tips, a Magnaflow high flow catalytic converter, LED gauges and interior lighting, etc etc.

It is obvious that I am the only sports car/small car advocate in this thread (or the only one at least saying anything) so there is no point in arguing anymore. Everyone seems to be a truck/SUV fan.
