Just bought a 2011 Honda CRV EX in Glacier Blue Metallic. Nothing flashy, just practical wheels for getting around.

Snapped these in the parking lot of the best electronics store anywhere: Fry's in City of Industry, CA. :D

My Droid X doubles nicely as a GPS mounted on the vent.

This is my first Honda. Before this I've mainly been a Ford and Toyota driver. (We still have an '06 Ford Focus ZX5). So far I'm really loving the CRV.

My A4 is a 96 Quattro. The B5 generation was from 1996-2001 in the States. I agree, a very classy design that looks very modern. However, slow as hell, but then again, decently sporty for its year...just barely. It's for sale if you want it;)

I can fix that slow problem for ya....I have put together many big turbo Audi's in the last few years. A4's are indeed wonderful cars...they just need a little more ooomph to make em fun.:D Actually we are getting ready to install a PES supercharger on a 99 2.8 V6 A4 this week.

I bought my Hyundai Coupe from a person on eBay for not a lot of money, my first week with it has been snowy, so whilst I haven't been able to drive it nicely through country lanes, I have been warmer than cycling to work!

Some photos of the car from the eBay listing:

My first drive in the car:

So far, it's really nice - the best car I've ever had - but needs some work.

Bad bits:
-A CV Joint is clicking
-Dial illuminations don't work - basically have to depend on a mix of Speed HUD on Android and the traffic flow in the dark
-Clutch pedal is a bit slow to move up :s
-No Head Unit
-He washed the car before I picked it up and the handbrake light is always on now
-Central Locking doesn't work
-Two wheel caps are missing

Good bits:
-Bodywork is in great condition
-He hoovered the interior, Leather interior is lovely
-Heating works (This is surprisingly a big thing for me!)
-Cruise control is really cool!
-accelerates nicely on the motorway - didn't get to go over 80 because, well, I didn't want to break the car on my first day!
-Sounds really nice despite being totally standard

Anyone want to let me know the best way to learn manual transmission. I dont exactly own a manual but i have been wanting to learn it ever since I got my license two years ago.

Find somebody with a manual who is willing to teach you.

Or, do what I did and watch some "how to drive manual" tutorial videos on YouTube then go out and buy a brand new manual transmission car having never driven one ever in your life because none of your friends or family members knew how to drive manual.

Actually, don't do what I did. It wasn't pretty the first few days.

That's pretty bad!

In the UK, if you want to ever be able to drive a manual car, you have to take your driving test in a manual car...

Bought this earlier this year but have only been a lurker on the forum.
2010 Maxima 3.5SV with sport and tech packages. Love it. Much more fun than my old Envoy Denali.

Yeah....not in the US. Its way too easy to get a license here.

Yep, for me all I needed to do is know what the road signs meant and what alcohol is for the written and parallel park, k-turn, and back up straight and boom I had my license.

No teaching the rules of the road, etc. Americans need to learn how to freaking drive. Cops also need to stop creating more revenue creating crap because I am sure that contributes to peoples idiotic driving.......

Yep, same here, and I completely failed parallel parking. I wasn't even close. And I'm still terrible at it.

People are just stupid. Today on my way to work I was nearly hit twice by some lady who was too busy eating her breakfast while driving. The first time she tried to come into my lane without looking to see that I was there, and once she was behind me, she nearly plowed into me at a stoplight. Then there was the other genius I saw a few months ago who had his cell phone in one hand, and his other hand was punching an address into his GPS. Unless he was born in Chernobyl and has a 3rd hand that he's steering with, there's no excuse for that kind of crap. I'm convinced natural selection will take morons like her out, I just hope I'm not involved in the accident when it happens.

I'm not sure if that's an American thing or not. I'm sure there are people in other countries who do crap like that, whether or not it's legal. Can any non-Americans chime in on that?

Definitely not an American thing. :D

I always enjoy seeing truck drivers with their feet on the dashboard solving crossword puzzles or reading the newspaper.

But yes, getting a license in western Europe doesn't only take longer than in the US, is costs considerably more as well.

No thanks, NA for me. I'd rather have a light and nimble car than something heavy with extra seats and 500hp.

LOL.. for the amount i paid for that car.. yeh :) relatively speaking with the miles its got on it.. it drives better than the crappy accent u get as a rental from enterprise!

LMAO. I just had a 10' Chrysler Sebring while my car was in the shop, we called it super neon. It was the same thing, with a 2.4, that fell flat on its face. lol

I used an '02 Sebring V6 as a company car back in the day. Christ, the car was good looking and had a good level of features, but it sucked. Hard. I went on a road trip with it once, the door plastics would fall loose if I hit a small hole on the road. The CD player didn't work all the time, and the right heated seat didn't work at all. Really, a very nice looking car, but so cheaply built that it scared me.
