Since being in a country that doesn't believe in snow, how much does it screw with the cars? I assume under the car will rust pretty nicely?
Miss this thing,
I had one of those as well. 1993 grand cherokee limited with the 5.2 V8. Great vehicle. Tranny finally went out at 282,xxx miles. Decided to junk it.
Miss everything but the gas mileage. Due to a plenum leak, I was running premium getting around 15mpg.
I had a friend with the 1998 5.9. Man what a nice Jeep.
Currently have a 2000 Cherokee, the boxy one. Love it to death.

Damn nailed that on the head, 93 limited 5.2. Ecu went out on mine at 201,000. Driving the crapalier now. Looking to grab what you have this summer.
Good luck finding an XJ!
well they have made a 1.9 litre 318, a 1.9 litre 316, a 1.8 litre 316, a 2.0 litre 318, a 2.5 litre 323, and a 1.6 litre 318... who knows what crazy stuff they can pull off lol
Yes, unfortunately finding an unmolested one is going to be a challenge.
I wouldn't worry too much about that, the XJ is damn near indestructable (its engine atleast...). My parents have a 95 XJ w/ the 4.0 I6 and a 5sp. Apart from the driver door needing to be re-welded at the hinge, its going strong (close to 200k on the clock).
got myself another evo, bought a scooby but it was awful and i could only put up with it for 4 weeks:
fq?
(forum software won't keep capitalization in place - weird)
Better question is what does fq mean?
Scooby = Subaru BTW if that is what you are wondering.
