I love those pictures! I love how y'all weren't afraid to dirty up your cars and especially love that last picture. Everyone looks like they're enjoying themselves immensely. Thanks for sharing. :)

The official figures are 5 seconds. But with sleek and solid I should hope we're not talking about the same car. The 300C is about as sleek as the grand canyon and solid? Well its a Chrysler. Nuff said.

So we're bashing a person for liking the design of the 300C? Remember people styling is SUBJECTIVE. You might not like the styling of the 300C, but another person might.

Don't try to argue with americans who buy american cars. It's just not worth it. And this advice is coming from a proud American who loves the freedom to buy the best products regardless of where they were made.

The same can be said about import fans, Mac fans, etc. It isn't worth arguing with anyone who is a die hard fan who can't give credit where credit is due even if it is to the "enemy".

With that said, I can't stand Chrysler either. I can't watch tv or read automobile magazines for the US audience because they give cars like the 300C, crossfire and Mustang (ford, but still) such good reviews when they really drive (and look) like crap. It's sad that american car manufacturers have to fall back on retro designs just to sell a decent looking car these days. The only american car that I love is the vette. I wouldn't touch anything else. Every American car that looks decent these days are based off of a european car (like that saturn roadster) or have gone retro. But even then, I don't think they look that nice.

I also can't stand Chrysler. IMHO, there designs are there. But, their quality and reliability aren't. My family has had 3 minivans, 2 Jeeps, and a Sebring Convert. All had problems of some sort. Being Chrysler's famous problem transmission failure, radiator problems, engine problems, and suspension problems.

With our experience with Chrysler, we haven't ruled out the domestics. GM has actually given my family to my memory the most reliable vehicles. From a 1996 Suburban to a 2007 Saturn Aura XR( I know, its to new to tell reliability yet). Our 4 GM's haven't given us a single major problem. My dad had a Corolla back in the 80's. It blew a manifold at around 20K miles( but I am not saying Toyota is crap). More recently my dads 2002 BMW 330xi( now with my bro) had to have the water pump replaced at 45K since it literally blew up and a new pulley since it worn out and making a loud squealing noise at 70K miles.

PS: I can't stand reading Car&Driver and Motortrend. Especially Car&Driver. I find them having a HEAVY leaning to Honda. And seem to find ways to make the Honda win. I am not saying Honda is bad, but I find that C&D don't give a fair chance to the other vehicles if a Honda is involved.

My Ride!!!

I didn't say anything about the styling, so I don't know where you're getting that information.

I don't love or hate any particular BRAND, I usually base my opinions on design. I like the design of the Chrysler 300, the Dodge Charger and RAM, I like the design of the Ford Fusion, the Chevy Impala, I like the Honda Accord Coupe. I like designs, not necessarily brands. I've had great reliability with my 98 Chrysler Sebring coupe, not convert., but that may just be because it's a Mitsubishi Eclipse with a Chrysler designed body and label.

Quit bashing each other, we're not barbarians. To the person from the Netherlands, I don't see how you know American's driving so well since you don't live here. Who knows, maybe you did, but the biggest reason is because everybody thinks they're the best driver. My mom thinks she's the best, I think she sucks, my friend thinks he's best, I think he's slow, and I think I'm best, and everyone says I'm crazy. That's how it works. Nobody drives correctly, but think they do.

All that said, I have to admit, Toyota and Honda have some serious reliability. Any Japanese car, really, I mean, my Chrysler branded Mitsubishi's up around 130,000 miles and it's fine. Like the day it was made.

<snip> WOW <snip>

I now have a large erection.

Those cars are beautiful. I've wanted one since the moment I first laid eyes upon one. She's my midlife crisis car.

Again, I'm very impressed. Such a beautiful car.

Note that I'm equally smitten with the Elise.

Doing my part on global pollution, 32 city 35 highway:) Fully loaded 1st new car in 12 years.:) SE handles terrific,16" wheels,172 watt stereo, loads of room, beautiful paint, almost as good as my wife.:D

I absolutely LOVE the new Accent. They are the best car in their class, IMO.

Good choice buying Hyundai. I love my Elantra.

EDIT: Just spotted an XD2 Elantra in front of the Accent in a couple pics. Yours, too?

I have to agree with you, after seeing my wife drive her Elantra for almost the past year I was very impressed. There was nothing that competed with the Accent SE for $15,000 in my view. Size wise, braking, engine, looks, instruments etc it just had everything beat. The yaris was a close second but i was so disappointed with its guage cluster of Fuel & speedometer only plus it didnt offer 4 wheel disc brakes with abs which was standard on the SE.

Sad note is my 1980 MGB is now gone:p Im over it:D

Yeah, the Yaris is a nice car, but the Accent is MUCH nicer, IMO. As you said, the Yaris' gauge cluster being in the center is a bit weird. I don't know if I could get used to that. It has Toyota build-quality, but honestly, Hyundai's build quality seems just as good, from my experience.

Don't have a car yet (Saving for one, unlike some teens here I have to work for my things ;) )

I'm pretty set on an El Camino!

Picture- not mine, just to show what a good one looks like :)

'til then, I'll have to do with this

Nice CL, what sort of performance mods do you have on it?

Thanks for the compliment...

I've got an AEM CAI, PowerXS Headers (didn't feel like paying $1200 for the comptechs), eiback springs, brembo blanks, Hawk HPS+ pads, and I've removed the resonator, the only weak link on the car is my all season tires... I dynoed 254 to the wheels :) Not bad for a NA V6 :)

With all the American car bashing, especially the Chrysler group, funny thing about this company is that recently they haven't developed any sedan by themselves, in the 1980s-1990s they heavily colaborated with Mitsubishi where Mitsu did most of the work. In late 1990s-till now they are even using Mercedes platforms. Cars such as Caliber, the new Sebring, Jeep Patriot, all use the new Mitsubishi Lancer platform developed by Mitsubishi. Chrysler 300C, Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum are all based upon the 1990s Mercedes E-class platform. it seems that Chrysler doesn't design any of the sedans from ground up by themselves. They only make trucks and vans by themselves.
