Barclays is the only one I've found to be a pain. Others can be logged into using a browser (Amex app is fine) but Barclays requires you to use a card reader if not using the app. Luckily it's not my main account.

Does the 3a XL count? That's what I have and it's very stable. Only come across a couple of UK banking apps not working. Very fluid and the dark mode & gestures are great.

Which banking apps? I have a few I use regularly so that could be a showstopper.

Barclays, Halifax & Lloyd's definitely don't work. I know with one of them (forget which), if you look for it in the store it tells you it won't work with the Q beta. So the others might. Accessing on a browser is fine though.

5 day vacation coming up which includes wedding, family, and other vacation type picks.

Struggling on whether to pack the 3XL or my OP7Pro.

Pro kills it in the battery department and OS/screen/experience.
Pixel its all about that camera and waterproofing for this type of trip.

I dont want to pack both so the waterproofing and camera will probably win out but still deciding.

So glad I ended up taking the Pixel! The pictures were outstanding!!

You guys were dead right. I felt compelled to pull my cam out and take pics nonstop with the beautiful scenery and event (brothers wedding). I caught some fantastic pics that even when compressed on FB and other platforms, my family and friends were raving at the quality. Was so awesome to capture those moments.

You know what I find odd about the Pixel, the screen seems to get waaaaaay more dirty/finger printy than any other phone I've owned.

Maybe my fingers are getting oilier at my old age 🙂

Back on the Pixel 3 after a short "I miss iPhone...oh yeah this is why I left iPhone" stint. You all still using Q beta? I might wait a week and a half for the next beta. We'll see.

I'm trying fluid gestures but they're not as fluid as I'd like, there is a bit of a delay in certain functions.

Still prefer OxygenOS as my favorite OS at this point but enjoy the little perks from the Pixel line like the call screen, song history, and squeeze to assistant.

Yes I use it as my daily driver for a couple weeks now off and on with my OP7Pro but have used it consistently for 2 weeks straight perfectly fine.

GooglePay used daily and my banking app works fine.

I'm finding them almost as good as the iPhone XS Max I had. As for a daily driver, no way I'd want to go back to using P now. At least not on a Pixel.

One thing I'm curious about. Does anyone use an equalizer for audio? I noticed that the built in equalizer actually makes the volume too quiet!

North Georgia mountains. Such a beautiful trip and the phone represented well!

Its a small perk but its one of the things I love about the Pixel line and its OS. The little weather alerts of hotter or cooler tomorrow and the traffic alerts as it learns your commute and time.

Pretty amazing how intuitive and useful it is.

No glass back, wireless charging, water resistance, slightly better haptics, and a visual core processor (photos process faster on the 3 XL). But the 3a models get much better battery life. I'm happy with my 3a.

It seems like the best phone available for under $500 new.
