If you like any previous version of the Apple Watch, you’ll likely love the Series 4. I really like my XS Max but the new watches are the real stars of Apple’s fall lineup, IMO.

I have only used an series 0 (preordered first day they were ever available) I really like that watch and from what I hear, the performance difference from 0 to 4 is massive! Color me excited!

I really don't give a poop about gestures. I still use the standard 3 nav keys on my 2 XL.
My point is you were praising how good stock Android is and yet the ‘fisher price’ of iOS runs nailed something that Google made a complete mess of. You might not be bothered about gestures but lots are and it’s great for navigating an OS.

Too much is made of stock Android as if it’s the best thing since sliced bread. I’m not knocking Android, I like it. But this whole fascination with stock Android thing is getting boring.

As it stands, looks like I'm going to be sticking with my Pixel 2 XL for the foreseeable future as I've got a veritable boatload of house-related expenses coming up.

But maybe around February time, if the 3 is worth it, I'd check it out then. TBH I'm 95% happy with my phone.

I upgraded from a Series 2 and the difference in performance was massive so, yeah I think you notice the improvement. :D

There's no denying iOS gestures ownz Android Pie's gestures... like by a lot!

However, stock Android is, in my opinion, overall leagues better than iOS. iOS is fine, and is especially fine on an iPad, but for a daily-use smartphone, it just doesn't match up. It's a bit of a shame that iOS in the past two years got so buggy that Apple had to devote an entire update to just fixing bugs and making iOS smooth and stable again. It's been reported that they intentionally put additional features on the back-burner just to make sure iOS 12 could focus on bug fixes. Who knows what we lost out on that we now have to wait for in iOS 13.

Historically, I'm a big critic of stock Android actually, but when compared to iOS, there's no question who's the more advanced mobile operating system.

[doublepost=1538749932][/doublepost]I sincerely hope that Pixel 3 reviews tear Google's gestures up and Google goes back to the drawing board. Thankfully, with the 3-button layout still intact, they haven't put all their eggs in a single basket yet, so it's not too late.

I still can't believe they got it so wrong.

Having the 2 XL, and very satisfied and happy with it. Not sure what real world would benefit going to the 3 XL for a whopping $1,000 ?

at the end of the day the 2 XL camera is still rated the best in the industry so the 3XL wouldn't be a massive upgrade performance-wise I'll still text and make phone calls and surf the web just the same on my 2 XL as the 3XL really at the end of the day what massive noticeable night and day difference when I get going to the 2XL from the 3 XL?

It is interesting how Google have chosen to put a photo of the back of their new device on the front of the box.

No more needs to be said really...

Apple is cleverly hiding their notch, too, as they all should.

Side note: I love that every time there is any 3 XL related news/leaks, commenters are quick to remind everybody how ugly that notch is. Keep up the shaming! #neverforget

The inclusion of the USB-C buds this year is overdue. I hope they're good.

If you're going to remove the headphone jack, a pair of USB-C earphones has to be included. There was evidence that they planned it for the Pixel 2 -- not sure why it didn't make it. It just goes to show Google's hardware just isn't in perfect sync with all their own plans.

I hope they sell the USB-C earbuds separately as well. The promise of removing the headphone jack early was that good affordable USB-C earphones were right around the corner... it's been a long multi-year corner.

[doublepost=1538762570][/doublepost]Here's one compared to the iPhone XS Max:

Google-Pixel-3-XL-0002.jpg

Let's be clear -- all notch phones are ugly and a design mistake that takes away as much (if not more than) it promises to gain. But boy... you can do an ugly notch, and then you can do the 3 XL notch.

That has to be the XS Max.

This leak is kind of disconcerting. If I'm looking at it right, this company charges an up-front fee followed by 11 payments. That would bring the starting price to around $850 US. I know there is a VAT so it's not completely equivalent, but it still seems that Pixel 3 will be more expensive than Pixel 2.

Pricing will seriously be key.

If they get this wrong, gosh, just don't know what else to say. Google looks like they want to fail. I've never seen them so out of touch.

Here is another leak that indicates it might be close to $850 US. If it's anywhere near that price, I'll wait for the OnePlus 6T, or I'll wait for a flagship-level Android One device, such as the LG G7 One.

My goodness, if the base model Pixel 3 starts at $850 in the US... I don't even know what to say to that.

Google is doing everything in its power to make the Pixel 3 phones as unattractive and unwelcoming as possible.

Are we talking the 3 starting at 850 or the 3 XL? If the latter, then no biggie since the 2 XL is 850 right?

That is CAD and EE pricing for the 3, which has VAT, but even considering that it looks like it could be well over the Pixel 2 launch price.

Pixel 2 launched at £629 and according to that advertisement above it looks like the Pixel 3 will launch at £648.

But the other leak has the CAD pricing considerably higher than last year, with Pixel 3 starting at CAD 1099 compared to CAD 899 for Pixel 2.

I think the reg Pixel 2 was £649 which personally I think is about right. I’d be happy with a Pixel 3 at that price (non XL). If it’s 700 plus we’ll it depends how far up the 7 it goes. If its price begins with an 8... hmm.

The biggest LOL will be if Google is insane enough to ask flagship $1,000 pricing for this 3 XL notch monster.

When the OnePlus 6T will be around half the price. Having similar specs and actually much better design.

How can Google justify that pricing difference between their 3 XL vs the 6T ? Waterproofing, wireless charging, and 1440p aren't worth double the freaking price.

Only way Google can save themselves, if they change the name from the Pixel 3 XL, to what it should be, the Nexus 9P, and sell it for the justified price of $599

How did the Pixel 2XL justify the price next to the 5T?

If the video fpt posted a while back (posted in this thread some pages back) is believed to be true, some design team got canned.

I agree, there is no room for a $1000.00 stock Android phone that is slapped together with 3 ways (or is it 4) to activate Google assistant with a decent screen and camera.

OnePlus may end up owning the stock Android game this year.

Pixel 3 349 /399
Pixel 3xl maybe 499 / 549

The old Nexus prices. If Google had the nerve to fire a design team because of a bad design, then they know they jacked up and should just fire sale these things right off the bat.
