Got the Pixel Stand. I quite like it. Nice, clean, understated design, and surprisingly small. Still over priced as hell.

So far, my Pixel 3 has been bug and issue-free.

It looks pretty cool but it's way overpriced. I may try to snag one on Black Friday if they put them on sale.

Super overpriced. I wouldn't have gotten it were it not for the promo credit.

I'm planning on picking one up with the $50 Google Store credit I'm eventually going to be getting for preordering the Pixel 3. Bought an iOttie Wireless charging stand (10W) right before the news came out...

That’s promising. A rattle would bother me more than a middle. I don’t use speakers a ton so either way it isn’t a huge issue for me. But reading online it made it sounds like everyone has junk speakers.

They're not great, for front facing stereo speakers. But bad front facing stereo speakers are still better than the single bottom speakers on most smartphones today.

However, I will say the demo I tried at the Verizon store vibrated really bad when the volume was high.

I originally planned on getting the ones 6T this week and comparing with the Pixel, but I think I'm just going to stay put. The Pixel has been excellent for me so far. Best camera, haptics, OS, and update schedule of any Android device. By only real complaints are the muffled speaker and battery life being only average. Still, for my needs this is the best Android phone out there.

Good post and I agree 100%. I'm very satisfied with my Pixel 3 XL it just works that's fast and smooth gorgeous display good enough battery life I'm just overall happy with it

At the end of the day, I'm pretty satisfied with my Pixel 3, too. I think Google could have easily done better in some areas, but what we got is solid. It's the closest thing to a Galaxy S9 running stock Android as you're going to get.

If Google can continue this trend of improvement, the Pixel 4 should be great. I want to see that same multi-year stretch of directly addressing the previous generation's issues that Samsung underwent with the S7 to S9 models. It showed Samsung paid attention. I hope Google is paying attention, too.

And for the love of god, fix the gestures. Let's not sugarcoat it: the gestures are straight up broken and stupid.

Don't get me wrong, the Pixel is far from perfect. But I'm ignoring software related issues for now because I expect them to be fixed. The gestures are bad but you have to think they'll improve in the next major release. My issue with them is that they defeat the propose of having gestures, which is to free up space on the screen. If you're going to force the search bar and bring it up in the multitasking gesture, then you're defeating the propose of gestures in the first place.

First full day with the smaller pixel 3, coming from a note 9.
- so much more comfortable to use and extremely light. Reminds me of the iPhone 7 Jet Black I had, and loved.
- haptics are as good as everyone says. While still not on par as apple, it's really close.
- screen is beautiful, but is a step down from the Note 9.
- ugh, missing that awesome Note battery life.
- the big top and bottom bezels look weird to me now, after having used an essential phone, iPhone x/XS, S9, and Note 9 for the past year. When I swipe down on the notification panel, it looks so weird having all that black space at the top.
- performance has been awesome, everything is fast and smooth. Also, performance of 3rd party apps are better too.
- call quality is awesome. I know most don't care, but reception and earpiece quality has been outstanding. I think this may be the best phone call performance since Nokia.
- and yes, wifi calling on at&t actually works! This was the main reason I stopped using my essential phone and returned my OG Pixel (and didn't even try the pixel 2). This is the only unlocked phone I have seen supported by at&t like that (was going to get the Note 9 unlocked, but didn't because of lack of wifi calling.)

So far, it's been positive. Also feels good to not have to worry about a curved screen. Haven't tried the camera yet, but I'm sure it's awesome. I wish this had a Dex-like feature, but instead it brings up chrome OS when plugged in to a monitor.

I also already got the November update.

100% this.

Phone calls are so much better now versus the Pixel 2. Along with Call Screening, the phone experience is awesome.

[doublepost=1541646900][/doublepost]Also, I love Google's wallpapers. They're seriously amazing. Both stills and Living Universe versions. Stunning. The first time I'm using stock wallpaper.

Just like this is the first time I've turned on haptics for typing. I love that I can set it to just 2 ms of vibration strength, just to get that tiny tactile feedback that I like. Just curious, does iOS give as much nuance control with their taptic engine?

IOS taptics are near perfect,so no need for user controls.

Fair enough.
[doublepost=1541690067][/doublepost]Could there be a pair of mid-range Pixels coming? I guess that could be interesting...

Bonito might not be the only Google smartphone in the works

Sorry if i answered rudely. Was not my intention.

I use both IOS and Android,so im not a fanboy of any platform. I just cant stand OLED and thats why im using an iphone 8.

I had a pixel 2 and loved it and want to give the smaller pixel 3 a go,if my eyes could stand it.

Hope they bring out pwm-less OLEDs soon or ill stay with my iphone 8.

Have you looked at the iPhone XR? It uses an LCD display.

I think LG does as well, though I could be wrong.

Awesome, thanks. I didn't know you could change it. I have it on 2ms too know and feels really good. I too usually have that turned off.

Bad luck with the Pixel 3. Smaller Pixel 3 had dead pixels and also bad pink shift when tilting the phone. Still terrible black crush that caused blotchiness during Netflix and YouTube videos. Returned. Tried a Pixel 3 XL and screen was awesome except it too had black crush that affected video. Tried the screen balance app and it made no difference in the blotches / blockiness during video. Unacceptable in 2018-2019 and at this price point. Too bad, love the Pixel experience but Google really needs to re-calibrate their phones, the black crush is just so bad.

OnePlus 6T ordered today, plan to use my Verizon SIM and try out T-Mobile again using the 2nd SIM slot. Played with one in a T-Mobile store and walked away very impressed.

I noticed an issue with visual voicemail on my 3 XL. The phone app has built in VVM, but I've tried everything and I cannot get mine to activate. It just repeats activation failed. I wonder if this is an issue with T-mobile account settings. I'd be interested to see if anyone with the phone on T-mobile has it working.

You mean the Tmobile Visual Voicemail app? Yea, it doesn't work for me either. I don't get many voicemails so it's not a big deal, but definitely weird it's not working.
