Well, I have the FP sensor working better now. I erased my previous fingerprint, put some lotion on my hands, waited a few minutes, then re-added them. Working much better. I think the technology being pretty basic has a hard time to dry hands.
I am wondering if they do the same type of adaptive learning that the iPhones do with Touch ID?

Mine seems to be okay wit how I programmed it (dry hands since it is cool and dry here in the fall), and if I need to unlock the device just after i wash my hands or something similar.

I may also have really pronounced fingerprints. MY fingers worked better on my friends Oneplus than his own. We programmed in my thumb as a test, and had good luck overall.

Not quite the same, but I did turn on smart unlock when at home in order to avoid using the FP sensor. That lets you just tap on the screen to go to your home page.
This is what I do. Smart unlock really cuts down on the number if times I need to use the FPS. When the phone is connected to a trusted device such as my watch or truck I do not need to use it. I have my watch on all the time so unless I'm using google pay I rarely have to use the FPS. That said, I have found the FPS to work great in my case. Only once or twice has it not recognized my fingerprint.

What watch are you using with it?

I wish I can do smart unlock. Maybe I will at work. But I intentionally have my phone locked down so my kid doesn't get into my phone and take a million videos...

Now I can order the buds today, and tomorrow issue the return of my Pixel 6!!!

BTW WTH is a “TEST” Pixel 6?

I would, but no need for me, my FPS seems to work for me in all conditions!

Haha, mine was worse. I refuse to wireless or fast charge my devices so it took some time in my case!

I use an USB-A to USB-C cable, and charge with an OG iPhone charger. Takes a bit of time!
That’s not a bad idea. I was planning on just using an iPad 20W with USB-C to USB-C cable. But I could pick up a USB-A to USB-C cable and use my iPhone 5w adaptor. Since I plan to overnight charge I don’t need to fast charge at all. I have all of these old iPhone chargers/cables but don’t have many USB-C stuff outside of an iPad and a Nintendo switch. And it doesn’t help that nobody is including a power brick with phones now.

Finally caved myself and added Nova back. Also sharing my case I ordered. On the fence about keeping the case, I want color and may get one that is bright, and one that is clear to show off the sorta seafoam color of this phone.

Yeah I got the usb-a cable originally so I could use Android auto in rental cars, and so I could use my wall outlet built in USB-A ports in the kitchen for my wireless charging dock (I only use for airpod case charging).

Speaking of battery, still at 31%, hasn't charged since last morning. Posting with it now and I did use it quite a bit both days!

Love the clean screen look

Still working on setting up my phone. You know - recovering some of those passwords long forgotten but was still logged in on the phone. But today's battery life has been rough. Used 47 percent between 2ish - now. But I'm chalking that up to all the file transfers, app updates, etc.

Battery update, Last on charger at 6am on Monday, Battery is still at 25% after nearly 2 busy days with some 5G browsing and much surfing / YouTube, and deep dive into settings / configuration of this device.

P6 (non Pro) is a lil TANK for a battery! Super happy with this lil guy!!! :)

Thanks, it is kinda how I have my Linux systems setup too. If I decide to run a window manager ;) .

How many run dark mode 100% all the time, vs sometimes light theme? Or even always light mode?

Dark mode 100%, partly because I like it that way, and additionally because I like the battery savings boost.

Nice little size comparisons between phones...

I posted one in this thread earlier comparing the Pixel 3, Pixel 6, and iPhone XS Max. They should put the S21 Ultra next to the 6 Pro, it being on the other side is a bit odd. Also, is there a case on the 6 pro? that doesn't look right to me.
