I really love this phone. And especially, Material You. For a stock launcher, the way you can totally change up your layout so easily with the oversized widgets and coloured app icons really makes such a difference.

iOS widgets are lovely too, but you're very limited with where you can put things and moving stuff on screen is still the same painful experience it was with the original iPhone. But I do like Apple's implementation a lot.

It's a tinkerers dream but doesn't end up overwhelming with too many options.

No such issues on mine.. yet !!

Carrier - TMobile
Location - DFW, TX

RF is as good as my 13 Pro Max and Note 20 Ultra..

Of course, no December update yet..

Wish I had that luck. Works fine connected to wifi, but once I head on out of the house the signal drops randomly and quite frequently. Made the phone unusable.

Yeah, no issues for me as well. I haven't had a dropped call or voice ghosting yet.

Now sign out of your Samsung account on the S21 Ultra from the app and settings account and tell me where it sends the code ..
Thanks for trying to help. It’s too risky to do that right now. It may not let me sign back in if the Ultra is removed. I’m just going to keep it and deal with the extra cost on the gift I bought, but when I’ve figured out what the problem is, once my husband’s gift is safely dealt with, I’ll let you know what went wrong, as I’m sure he will be able to get it sorted.

I’m just off the phone from dealing with trying to get my dad’s healthcare sorted. He’s physically deteriorating shockingly fast and it’s affecting his ability to handle something as simple as making his doctors appointments, and I am not going to be able to deal with phones anytime soon, as we are also dealing with my father-in-law, who was fine one minute then suddenly slipped into dementia delusions a few months ago. At least my father-in-law is in assisted living. It’s maddening because we finally got my mother well and able to walk again. Now my dad’s fallen off the cliff. We never really catch a break around here the last 3 years.

I’m just visiting here for some escapism now. I’m using my Pixel camera and large screen for reading emails on, but someone had posted the question of whether or not we would make these Pixels an only or main phone. While I always intend to be a two phone person, I haven’t tried to even speculate on the rhetorical feasibility of that for myself.

I’m relying on my XR to conduct my personal business. Old or not. 64 gb or not, it’s my lifeline right now and the Pixel is my fun. But both phones aren’t fully set up with all my apps and my contacts on iPhone are screwed up somehow. (My stupid iPhone 13 Pro is fully set up, for all the good that does me, banished to the cabinet as it is). I’ve just not got the time or headspace to get my own stuff together at the moment. I’ve just done enough to get by each day.

Like everyone else here I’m waiting on an update, but now apparently they’ve had to pull it? That’s very concerning. Well it’s concerning that it seems to be taking so long to fix. I’m not personally noticing any problems, but then again I didn’t get the wonky update.

I've had my Pixel 6 for a month now, and while it's not perfect, it's about as close to perfect for me as a phone has ever been. My history has largely been: try every generation of Pixel and hope it sticks. It finally stuck, and that's about all I really need to say.

I have a tan dbrand leather skin coming this week which I'm super stoked for.

Most importantly, I hope everything with the family works out and everyone stays healthy.. This is just a hobby for us and it's good to be here and get away from everyday things life throws our way. So it's good to see you pop in when you can and I hope everything goes well for you and the family.. at the end of the day it's just the phone right? Lol

I've been hoping for that as well as having themed apps in the app drawer. I would also like the ability to add custom colors instead of the 4 presets for wallpaper colors and 4 basic color presets.
This is why I don't use theme icons. I use plenty of Google apps but it just bugs me that I can't theme the same for the rest. So until they fix that I will not use it.

Amen! I’m currently here at the house I grew up in, with my mom. My husband has taken my dad to the urgent care for his healthcare provider. My dad is in a very weakened state. It doesn’t seem to be Covid, so there’s that.

Thank goodness my dad has better healthcare access than I currently do and can be seen today. But my husband says they’re in a very long queue. It’s absolute madness at any medical provider right now. Even getting care via phone has been difficult so I hope everyone here stays safe and well.

I’ve got my Pixel and my XR with me. Some people think I’m nuts carrying two phones but it’s been helpful with these years of elder care. I’m able to entertain my mom on my Pixel while I use my iPhone for texts. She is looking at photos on the Pixel of our Christmas decorations and our general home life.

I was just catching up on the posts. So wow, there’s really been no communication from Google on the status of the update? I’m going to try and read up a little on the Android news. I’ve fallen quite behind and really have no idea what’s going on. I’ve got my Pixel aesthetically where I want it with just the basics of what the OS offers. Normally I’d be trying to customize it more but I’m waiting to see what Google may offer.

Random question that probably no one knows the answer to, ha: What do these live 'Bloom' wallpapers actually do?

Edit: Nevermind, I see. Just blur and parallax effects. Kind of lame, haha.

How long a person can be stuck with a wallpaper?

Mine is around 2 weeks for longest

Lol it took me a bit longer than I care to admit to figure out what I was looking at. I just had coffee so no excuses! I’m going to go back to the wallpaper @Aneres11 made awhile back.

I forgot to put a screen protector on my Pixel after peeling it off last week. The previous screen protector got a dent in it somehow and I had to remove it to make sure the glass underneath was okay. The new protectors arrived but with everything going on I first procrastinated and then forgot altogether when I flung my Pixel into the phone pocket of my tiny backpack.

I’m not even going to check it for scratches. I’m just going to use it and enjoy it and not worry about it. I’ll put the protector on when I can spare the time and the manual dexterity!

Moving right along, it looks like more information is leaking about the Pixel Watch. Android Central has some news about it. I look forward to seeing it announced one of these days. I just don’t know what’s going to happen with all the supply chain issues and how that will impact product launches even in 2022.
