If Google doesn't release an update that fixes the signal issues, I'm selling me and my wife's Pixels. I don't have the patience to deal with Google's crap like I have in the past. I don't feel like being a beta tester anymore.

I love the phone but bugs are getting to be a problem.

Totally frustrating for people. I don't blame anyone for feeling this way. It's truly a shame the way they release these fixes and create more.. SMH

I was a huge Nexus / Pixel fan. I've been burned with issues (not exactly these, but major enough to be a major nuisance) on Pixel phones in the past. Historically, I had owned and pre-ordered the Pixel 1, 2 and 3 with a 3a later after a disastrous time with whatever OnePlus at the time. The 3a being the least problematic of the bunch. All of them had their fair share of issues, which for most of them, Google either didn't acknowledge the issues or threw a software patch or two at it and tried to call it a day. The Pixel 6 is intriguing, but scrolling through this thread makes me realize that nothing has really changed in terms of Google's hardware / software QC.

Having an Apple Watch definitely makes it easier to have a Pixel as a second device. I've been using my Pixel as my main phone while have the luxury of still having iMessage quickly on my wrist.

This is the longest I've ever been with a Pixel. Thoughts so far:

- I can't believe how much I love it.

- Google needs to force all developers to have a floating home bar in their app. Apps without it look so dated and ugly (which are most apps). C'mon, Google.

- I still get delayed notifications/notifications that only appear when unlocking the phone in comparison to my iPhone.

- I wish there were better browsers. Nothing on Android touches the functionality and beauty of Safari.

- It's a real shame Google ditched Face ID. It works amazingly.

- Apps are definitely more polished on iOS.

Otherwise, I love this phone. 💕

I love the phone and the OS, but despite Google finally improving the hardware they are still treating Pixel users as beta testers. I'm sure in 3-4 months this will be a great device. But if Google want to try and compete with Apple and Samsung, they need to iron out more of the issues prior to releasing a device.

Good day folks, who's ready for the holiday weekend? Short work day here today hopefully done by 2:00 p.m. Eastern..

I've been using the Pixel 2 stand the last few days. Not bad at all. I really use it more during the day as I like to have it on the desk as opposed to the bedroom...

We’ve been doing emergency elder care for so long that we’ve become the masters of emotional and logistical compartmentalization, so we are actually just about ready for the holiday weekend even while trying to be ready for medical emergencies (dad is in hospital getting proper care and tests) and running over daily to take care of my mom and her pets.

I’ve still got a few presents to wrap. What’s crazy is I started wrapping in November. I got almost everything from Etsy this year. I felt I could count on the merchants there and I was right. I got a few things from Apple and those were scary slow to ship! Whew! But anyway like I said, I started and almost completed wrapping a couple of days after Thanksgiving and somehow, it’s almost Christmas already and I still have a few things to wrap. I feel like I blinked and the days just whooshed by! I mean I still feel like I only just got finished with the Turkey sandwiches. 🤣 Really, where did the time go?!!!

And I’m having one sister-in-law over and possibly my father-in-law over, depending on how things go with my own folks. So we stopped by the grocery to pick up a little extra holiday chocolates. But they were all gone and in their place is Valentines Chocolates! I don’t get it. This is the week people are buying for their Christmas dinners. Even if they bought early, I bet plenty of people sneaked into their Christmas chocolates by now because the Halloween candy was gone in September, and they might be wanting fresh boxes of Christmas candy. Who is going to want Valentines chocolate for their Christmas dinner?

It’s 30F outside so I guess I’d better go buy myself the new bathing suit I’ve been needing!

I really do not understand marketing at all anymore.

Ah well, I hope everyone here has a fun, healthy, happy and safe holiday and is able to get any time off that is wanted or needed.

I’m sorry to hear some of you are having Pixel problems. I’m truly out of the loop on that at the moment.

My notifications seem to be coming in on a timely manner, but I’m sure I’m not using nearly as many apps as everyone else. I’m not on social media other than Twitter and I don’t have notifications turned on as I visit very rarely.

I did notice on the way home from my mom’s, when I stopped to take a picture of a friend’s Christmas lights from my car, that my night mode wasn’t working too well. I had to use my XR to get the shot I wanted. I’m going to have to check into that more to make sure it wasn’t just a one-off. I’ll let you all know if there’s an issue. I’m pretty sure it’s just user incompetence!

Okay well I gotta head out. Take care, everyone.

That looks great!! What are your thoughts on it, quality and grippiness, etc.
Quality feels like top-notch leather. It’s full grain, so it will almost certainly patina very nicely. Grip is also tremendous vs the slick glass of the Pixel 6. I expect the grippiness to further improve as the leather ages as well.

All of these issues being posted... I feel lucky to say that I have had zero issues on any of my Pixel 6's so far. Other than the blurred notification pull down which has been fixed on the December update.

I'm pleased, as normally I do have issues with Pixels. Particularly always being an early adopter.

Not good others are experiencing it, but sometimes these things do get too much press as if the phone is basically unusable, which I really don't think is the case.
