Except he’s not wrong.

I don't think that was in dispute. It was the the Apple fans that have no problem throwing shade at Android phones here in the Android threads. But would not hold Apple to rhe same standards in the Apple threads.

Stop making this an Apple vs Google thing. Apple doesn't report the numbers anymore. I specifically said earlier, "Companies love to spin things (Apple and Samsung included). Without numbers, it's a nice marketing spin." I know you saw that!
I agree your response to the other member. I never took your comments as an Apple vs Google thing. That's why I took the view that Google is going to spin it as a positive and they should. No harm in that. Like I mentioned, even if Google sold only 100,000 Pixel phones last year and doubled that to 200,000 this year, that's one helluva sales spike.

I view it as follows, Pixel Sales = Interest in Pixel Phones. Google has to be encouraged that potential buyers are now interested and willing to give their phones a try.

Your other point regarding returns I had NO issues with either. I'm sure there were buyers who wanted to compare it to their iPhone, Galaxy phones or just wanted to try out and see what Google was up to. Regardless, those are still viewed as sales. I'm also of the belief that Google had a substantial number of returns partly due to their in display FPS.

That's why companies ask you the reason for return. What they are looking for are red flags, like the FPS or they didn't like the color or shape. They need that info to correct it in the next release if possible.

Maybe but this is basically a pro Apple website. Regardless, Apple does make the best and nicest looking phones out there and sell the most of probably any brand. Hats off to them, really.

Although I have a love affair with Huawei phones. I think they are even better looking than some of the iPhones. Sadly, they have been banned but I still have an Honor 9X which is still getting monthly updates and is a really good looking phone that works great.

true..it is called MacRumors. But also it is nice to see people hold all things to the same standard.
The iPhone is the single best selling smartphone model. But Samsung sells more phones overall than they do with i think Xiaomi a close second or third behind Apple.

Yeah I saw that news. I love magic eraser. But I haven’t tried using it in weeks. Ironically I’ve wanted to on some recent iPhone photos I’ve taken.

Like any new feature I used it abit but soon didn’t bother using it

Nice to have though certainly for pics with big crowds

Been using my 6 about a week now. Love the phone but for some reason I stopped getting 50% of my texts yesterday. The first 6-7 days or whatever was perfect but for some reason yesterday they aren't coming through all the time. And as luck would have it I was out of town and my wife was texting me and getting worried because I wasn't replying. Then the same with my mom and another friend. Seems everyone gets my texts just fine but I'm not getting theirs. So frustrating! Google blames my carrier and my carrier blames Google. Back on my 13PM now. :( Guess this will be my "around the house WiFi device".

That exactly conclusion was what happened with my Pixel 6 and dropping all cell service every day or so. Ugh.

Not sure if you have or not, but if you’ve been swapping sims between iPhone and your Pixel I wonder if iMessage has grabbed onto your number and wont release it hence why messages sent to you are going into the ether. Probably not, but thought I‘d put it out there. Might be wise to de-authorise iMessage manually on Apple’s site if you still have issues.

Yeah, I thought about it, but it wouldn't explain the 2 Android users who I'm having issues with. RCS is off on Android and I de-registered from iMessage.

Looks like I got the February security update

Got my update on both phones last night. Nice :)

So I have both the Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6, and mainly use the 6 Pro mostly as my daily driver, but I do like the more compact size and FLAT screen of the Pixel 6. But when I use the 6 Pro all day and then go back to the regular Pixel 6, couple things are noticeable right off the bat every time;

- Haptic vibration is nowhere even close to as good on the 6 compared to the 6 Pro, it's night and day better on the 6 Pro, makes the 6 Pro feel more premium or as good as an iPhone, and the regular 6 feels weak and cheap almost with the lesser vibration.

- 120hz refresh rate. Not sure what it is exactly, but scrolling in apps, or just moving around the Android UI and home screens or opening and closing apps, etc... The Pixel 6 Pro is just more fluid, smoother, less to no little lag whatsoever, where the regular Pixel 6 does have a slight skip or minor hiccup here and there, or feels a little choppy or slightly laggy at times, but just for a split second though.

I wish Google would have made both phones with the exact same hardware and build, like the 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are extremely similar to each other

You are right that the haptic feels much different on the two devices. It feels stronger on the Pro. From what I read, they have the same haptic hardware but the Pro has it on the bottom and the 6 on the top so you feel it more on the pro.

They just continue to shoot themselves in the foot with their QC. Every time I see an article like this it makes me feel better about my decision to sell both Pixel 6s.

Pixel 6 and Pro were just added to the beta program. Anyone wanting to try Android 12L Beta 3 now can. Maybe it'll have less bugs than the "stable" version.

I'd try it if I hadn't had gotten rid of my Pixel 6. Would be funny if 12L was smoother and less problematic.

Well we shall see. I couldn't resist and picked up white S22 Ultra 512GB lol

Issues smh

Took a few picks yesterday while I had my car by the shop

One thing I noticed is the Pixel defaults to a very cool almost bluish white balance. Which is how I got the blue kitty in my avatar photo. I think these photos are good but they do look really cool toned even on my ridiculously warm iPhone display.

How do they look to everyone else?
