OK - Just did the latest update that was pushed out a few days ago. Anyone else seeing weird (IE delayed) animations when exiting an app? Is there a fix?

So no one else has a lag on their screen when exiting apps now? See video for example.

I'm loving this phone so much, y'all. I hate that I have to still have an iPhone. iPhones are mandatory at my law school (they literally insist that students only use an iPhone), and there's really no way to have my Pixel as my main phone, which really sucks. I have a friend who is starting law school at a different university and they are requiring him to purchase an iPhone.

I'm also enjoying Android 13 and I don't understand why many people don't like the Pixel launcher. It's so minimal and clean, and I love having the date and temperature on the home screen. I'm also loving the Google search bar; I feel lost without it now whenever I use my iPhone. Additionally, I think the notification shade is beautiful and I love the gray palette.

I always knew I would love the Pixel after all these years. :)

Interesting how EDU and such force its students to buy certain brands in the USA. Bit of scam IMHO. But then again, pretty normal behavior.

That’s shocking it really is

Freedom should allow you to use what you want. Sad to see

That would drive me nuts. I'd be like "Sure, I'll get an iPhone. Let me know which one you're gonna pay for."

Screw that noise! LoL

You need to file a lawsuit. That's your first assignment, student. :p

Portrait goodness.
Still class this phone as one of the best I've ever owned. Roll on the 7. ?

I’m watching the 76ers - Raptors playoff game, and noticed the Pixel 6 logo on the court.

I see Google is really getting serious about marketing.
Well it is the official "fan phone" of the NBA, whatever that is so, yeah lol

On Holy Saturday went to a historic Ukrainian church in downtown Chicago;

Pics taken on my Pixel 6 Pro

From my experiences sales peeps are never eager to push the Google phone over the years ..this includes Verizon ...maybe why phones don't sell as much bc they don't try ..I'm not sure on those incentives...

Well to be fair, its probably not smart to push a Pixel to the average consumer. Most people just want a smartphone that works, which means Apple or Samsung. The average person wont be willing to deal with the constant bugs and hardware issues just to get stock android, Pixel features, and a camera thats really good at point and shoot but limited compared to the competition.

I've actually got 3 people I know who would be considered an average consumer to buy a Pixel 6 and they are all very happy with the device. All 3 came from iphones. No complaints about any kind of bugs or any displeasure about anything with it. With the last update the bugs seem to be gone for me and definitely experience less bugs than my 13 PM.

What sold my friends on the Pixel is the exact feature I can't give up. The Google call screener. I showed them and it blew their mind. Also magic eraser and the overall camera quality. The system UI is nearly as user friendly as the iPhone which helps. If carriers and Google showcased the little things this phone does to make your life easier and more productive I'm certain it would have alot better sales numbers. Everyone is just so programmed to think iphones and Samsung are the best devices that they don't consider the Pixel.

Still love my S22U and the hardware makes it hard to let go. The camera and zoom are amazing and nearly unmatched and the display, battery life, and S pen make it the overall best device in my opinion. But I just find myself using the Pixel for the little conveniences it provides.

Many other people would buy Google phones but we live in the many countries where Google appears not interested in selling their product. Google seems to want to fail in the phone business.

Ok, I get that you enjoy the Pixel phone. But saying the Pixel has less bugs than the 13 PM is just not true for the majority of people. The issues, both software and hardware, have been well documented. Thats not to say the PIxel isnt a good phone, but you have to really like what Google does to get past the issues.

I've owned plenty of Pixels, Samsungs, and iPhones over the past 5 years and while I love Pixel features, I think its pretty easy to say they have inferior hardware to both the others and the buggiest software. And the lead they once had in the camera department is basically gone due to Samsung making huge strides (especially with zoom) and iPhone just being more well rounded (and crushing the Pixel in video).

I'm not here to **** talk the Pixel, but if I was recommending a phone to a friend that just wanted a great phone that just works, Pixel wouldnt be at the top of my list.
