Google's birthday is September 27th so it would be nice if the Pixel 6 release coincides with that.
That would be amazing!!

That's a nice bump for charging... I was reading that leak yesterday.. My only worry still is the chip.. But I will wait it out till everyone gets their hands on it... No first day order for me... I will live though you gents and ladies... And enjoy the feedback..More leaks suggest the pixel 6 line will come with 33w fast charging. 23w wireless charging with a new pixel stand likely to be released.
lol my cats and my dog slept through one earthquake and the dog barely lifted her ear for the second one. I got a weird motion sickness sensation just before and for many hours afterwards. Those on West Coast got heads up ShakeAlert for yesterday's earthquake. Didn't get anything on my Samsung or Apple devices. More reason to look forward to Pixel 6 Pro.

If they’re aggressive with trade in offers I’d be tempted to trade in my S21 Ultra. But only for the Pro, in that case.Even though I know it's a bad idea, I'll likely be a day 1 preorder. I'm willing to be a beta tester for this. It's the first phone I've been excited about in years.
Also, some rumors abound that Google is going to be "aggressive" with their trade in offers this year. Who knows what that means. Maybe they take a cue from Samsung.
Not that I’ve seen. I mean there’s the usual array of videos made in Asia that purport to be tests between the Pixel 6 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro. But I am not familiar with the reputation of the content creators and I can’t be sure they’re not using existing models. There’s just slick music and no commentary. No footage of the actual phones in use, either. SuperSaf they ain’t.Are there any camera samples?
Been hearing of I think "jumbo jack" foldable that could launch this year. I'm hesitant. Think it'd be an interesting device, however I think a 5g nexus 7 tablet would be better! What about a pixel fold this year? Any chance? Thanks
Actually that improvement alone is probably enough to make my oldest want to upgrade since she’s frustrated with nightmode and its little timer coming on and ruining slightly low light indoor photo ops with moving subjects. But so far, she wants to stay with her 12 Pro and I don’t blame her as she’s got other things to do with her money.Watching the latest iPhone first impressions and mini reviews is filling me with more confidence about the Pixel camera.
Seems like the only improvements seem to come in lower light, with night mode not necessarily being needed as much due to the larger sensors.
As expected really.
Over to Google now to show us what these new sensors combined with their superior software smarts can do.

It would be interesting to see how Pixels handle these kinds of conditions. I want to see how they manage to preserve details and sharpness while doing pixel binning.

I noticed to my shock with the new styles feature that iPhones can now take photos that look like Pixel photos (on the Cool setting). That’s the setting that allows some existing light in a scene to remain. Apple’s algorithms have always tended to flatten subtle light out of photos to emphasize color or contrast or something else. So you lose gentle atmospheric lighting and get a flatter looking picture.Seems camera wise the 13 pro line seems a good improvement overall. Night mode should be much improved with bigger sensors
Pixel 6 line will either blow people away or leave people disappointed will see which way it goes. It’s a lot of hype to live up to
Yeah the new styles is underrated. Those who like Samsung type saturation option is there. I believe you can set it to have that settings through each photo. So I’m beyond excited I’ll be able to get this result on an iPhone now.
But of course it isn’t only photos that are an interesting and unique part of the Pixel ownership experience. There’s always been so much going on with little touches that allow the OS and apps to cater to your needs faster and more efficiently and sometimes more thoroughly than iOS or One UI can. That one is harder for me to articulate especially as my morning coffee wears off. 🤣 But I think those of us who have owned and used Pixels know what I mean.
Has it though? Or is it the usual reviewer hype. I think you need to take it all with a massive pinch of salt until real people (and not people in the Apple sectionGotta give it to Apple, reviews sound like the 13 has pretty considerable updates to battery, camera, and screen.

We've seen it year on year with Samsung releases. Photo samples are always deemed incredible, and best yet but then users realise it isn't actually that good.
The only exception to that has been the S21 U which seemed to live up to it eventually. My release model was dire, but Exynos.
Samples I've seen have only improved in low light for stills. I think they've rinsed all they can from these 12mp cameras now and really need to move on for the 14 if they want to stay ahead.
I guess in reality I can't comment until I try a 13 Pro myself. I just don't take any of these reviewers words seriously. All I watch the videos for is to see the actual devices compared to others for colour purposes.I believe I have. If you have seen my posts here, I'm definitely not one that falls into the Apple fanboy group. But I can appreciate good tech from anyone and admit when I was wrong. Also, I haven't even been to the Apple section in probably a year or more. That forum is a nightmare.
It seems like the iPhone 13 is actually the most Apple release ever. On the surface it looks like a bunch of superficial, incremental upgrades. But in reality, the upgrades are substantial upgrades to core features rather than anything flashy or innovative. That's not to say I dont wish Apple would go back to being innovative, but I dont think these upgrades should be overlooked. The battery increase of 2 hours on the Pro models seems to be valid which is huge for a phone that was already great with battery. And the camera upgrades seem to be substantial rather than just introducing new lenses.
Beside iOS, I still question some things they havent improved. The 12 PM was already an unwieldy device due to the width and flat edges, and now its 40oz heavier. Also, it still has the horrible notch, in a time where masks are still a daily thing. And although the notch has been reduced, they havent done anything to take advantage of the extra space that I have heard. Also, why is the lightning cable still a thing? Such a dumb and inferior technology to have on a 1k phone. To me, its has bad as Google previously limiting Pixels to 6GB of ram. Its inexcusable.
This doesnt mean I am going to run out and buy one, but it means that Apple has raised the bar a little and put a little more pressure on Google to deliver IMO. I hope Google finally deliver. A truly flagship Pixel that sells well is good for everyone here. It gives Google motivation to do more of the same and it pushes Apple to stop playing it safe. Win-win.
