I think the regular 6 will be easier to obtain. Why not keep your Pro order, trial it and return it if not for you. I think you'll have more luck returning it and nabbing a 6 than maybe getting a 6 and wanting a Pro later on. :)
If you buy it from Google they hit you for a restocking fee of 15%. It could be higher though not sure but they do mandatory restocking fees even if it's a bad phone and you just want to return it for a refund. If you want to trial a phone then I suggest Amazon. I think you now have until Jan 31st to return it.

Having the Samsung S21 Ultra I really don’t think the curve is annoying. I prefer flat. It makes getting screen protectors easier. But it’s not such a huge deal for me that I’d forgo zoom in exchange.

Also I have a major migraine brewing after using all of my iPhones together today. I had different screens open on different things. I definitely can’t be doing that anymore. I hope the Pro display is compatible to my vision along with my 13 Pro display
Is the PWM an issue for you on your other iPhones? Your 13 Pro isn't?

I regret to share, I took the plunge on buying a friends rejected 13 Pro (non max) and I really like it. As a video editor, the phone's video quality is mind blowing!!

That said, I love both camps and really am looking forward to my first Android refresh in 3 years. My Pixel 3 is still a damn good trooper, and is the ideal size for me so am a bit apprehensive about the bigger Pixel 6 when I already abandoned Apple's Max phones.

I like the curve screen better tbh bc the bezels are thinner... Only pain is the screen protector for those that use one...

Keep your pro @Tig Bitties . Enjoy it for a bit during the review period and share your experiences.

I ended up buying too much tech this year and can't justify the Pro for my needs, and honestly like smaller phones. Kinda looking forward to playing around with my underdog phone and be envious of you folks who took the bigger plunge!!

Thanks. Good point. If I cancel the 6 Pro I'll be second guessing missing out on the 120hz display and higher quality screen.

So I'll stick with it. And then look at the regular 6 at T-Mobile or Best Buy in person next month.

Apple needs this like yesterday... (along with Hold for me)

The only positive my iphone has over Pixel for me is getting PayPal in Google Opinion Rewards, Google needs to do that on Android

6 Pro is in higher demand and sold out faster like on Target. He can easily trade down to 6 + cash difference with someone who wasn't able to snag a 6 Pro.

One thing for me to keep in mind I still have my iPhone 12 Pro Max and the main thing I love about that phone is the huge bright high quality display.

So if the Pixel 6 Pro has a similar type screen even though it's curved but a big large bright gorgeous display is what I'm after.

I like picking up my 12 Pro Max and just feeling the heft the high build quality and that beautiful screen to look at I hope the Pixel 6 Pro can give me a similar experience but minus the terrible iOS obviously

But my daily driver this month has been my Pixel 4 XL again.

Google opinion rewards?

I am an active contributor to Google Maps / Reviews. Not understanding what you mean but am keen to find out.
There is an app called Google Opinions Rewards and it gives me surveys almost daily that are usually 2-3 questions and I get payapal from it on my iPhone but Play credit on my Pixel.

For me the questions are almost always like this

Have you been to any of the following places and lists 4 or so places then asks if I bought anything and if I pay by debit/credit etc and usually I get 30-50 cents each time

Google has moved up my "delivered by" date from Nov 08 to Nov 01.
Normally I'd get the Pro, but the regular 6 is only C$799, and they're giving me $500 for my Pixel 5. So it's not costing much, and then of course they're also throwing in the Pixel Buds.
Looking forward to getting it, though it would have been great to have the superior display and telephoto that comes with the Pro. But I think it's still quite a step up from the Pixel 5 for not very much money.

Pwm was weird for me. I got my 12 mini despite knowing it could bother my vision. And it hurt my eyes at first. I was using just to keep in touch via text and voice calls. I didn’t like using Apple Watch for that. I was not web surfing in it. But gradually as I was texting on it I got adjusted.

I traded a 12 Pro Max with a janky display for my 13 Pro. I can use the 13 Pro display. But for some reason adjusting to the 13 Pro has rendered me unable to tolerate the 12 Mini display.

So I’m using my 13 Pro and counting on the incoming Apple Watch Series 7 to keep me always connected. So I canceled plans to trade my green 12 Mini for a 13 mini. It’s going toward the Pixel 6 Pro.

I also have a purple 12 mini. It was a gift. I’ll keep it. It was my favorite iPhone. Maybe I’ll be able to use it with the Pixel 6 Pro. I was able to use my S21 Ultra with my 12 mini. I don’t know what Apple does with displays that makes me react so poorly. I usually don’t have any trouble with the pwm on my Android phones and I hope I won’t going forward with the Pixel 6 Pro.

For anyone concerned about restocking fees (who bought from Google’s US site)

Holiday Return Policy

Important:
  • All purchases made from November 26–December 10, 2021 can be returned through January 10, 2022.
  • All purchases made from December 11, 2021–January 31, 2022 have 30 days from the day it was received to be returned.
  • All purchases made after January 31, 2022 are subject to the Standard Return Policy.
  • [US only]: No restocking fees will be charged from October 19, 2021–January 31, 2022.
I needed to know this in case of pwm making it impossible to use the phone. I hope we will all love our Pixels and not need to return them. But just in case, I’m glad they’re waiving it.

Usually in the past, Google had a flat $30 restocking fee. Good to see they are waiving it.

I think Monday will answer a lot of questions about these phone when the embargo lifts. The red flags I'm looking out for are related to Tensor. I don't want to hear anything about stuttering or thermal problems like overheating when recording 4k.
