I think it's the screen protector that's causing issues with some. I have a tempered glass protector on my 6. Other than the FP issue, the device has been great.

I don't think I've read a single review of screen protectors for the Pixel 6 / 6 Pro on Amazon where buyers haven't said that the finger print sensor doesn't work when they've applied theirs.
Looks like the only option is to run a naked screen...

Isn't it variable refresh rate as on the iPhone 13 Pro? That is theory could be better for battery life as it ramps down to 10 fps vs. leaving it locked on 60 hz. At a minimum it should be pretty comparable.
Shame that Google didn't think people would want to protect their screens. If it can't be sorted by software updates later on (which I doubt it can) then I'm amazed that the device wasn't tested for things like this when it was in development.
Never thought about that. Have no idea what uses 120hz and what doesn't as everything scrolls the same to me on or off.
As long as the battery gets me through a day, it's fine. I honestly don't think the stats are correct anyway. I've used it more than what's being reported.

I had just gotten out of the shower and dressed and saw the truck pulling in to the driveway and ran out . My husband was pullling in to the driveway at the same time, coming back with lunch, so he got the phone handed to him. Lol I hope we didn’t scare the driver converging on him like that! 🤣

So I am working on a comparison video between the Pixel 3 and Pixel 6 for a few key areas, and in some areas I don't see many people discussing. I won't post here but I will tell you what to search for on YouTube. I don't want to violate the self promotion rules on this site

I played the same YouTube video featuring a song I purchased a license for on Epidemic sound for a different project. Both phones played at max volume
Pixel 3 = 81.3 DB
Pixel 6 = 80.3 DB
From the human angle, the Pixel 3 speakers sound better, less tin to the tones, and overall are warmer. That said, I don't feel the 6 is a bad phone, it just has a disadvantage of not having 2 forward facing speakers. I put the Pixel 3 above speaker quality of the iPhone 7 - 11 copies that I have owned.
Phone volume / quality on Speaker
I called Delta Support, and measured audio while listening to their automated system at max volume on both phones.
Pixel 3 = 74.4 DB
Pixel 6 = 77.9 DB
Again, the audio quality on the Pixel 3 was more appealing, but the Pixel 6 did an awesome job still IMO.
Actually the viewing area on the Pixel 6 is bigger. Keep in mind the lower section on the 6 isn't lit in that picture, minus the grab slider to slide up into the app drawer.

I've honestly had zero issues with it. Think it's about as good as my S21 Ultra
My husband’s busy setting up his Pixel. So far he's not happy with the fingerprint sensor. But he's willing to work with it after he's finished setting up and see if he can see some improvements. Also he found on one screen one word fell over the side of the curved display! It was some sort of checkbook app. It's not something that seems to happen often, so far.
Meanwhile I get to set up a new phone, too! The iPhone Xr that came in for my late mother-in-law's line was indeed FREE! Black 64 gb iPhone Xr. The display seems even more gentle to the eyes than my original yellow XR's display from a few years ago was. Time will tell if I get on with it but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I still have my case from my old phone and a brand new one I never used, as well. Plus a lot of other inexpensive cases. I don't have a screen protector. I am using one for the 12 Pro and it doesn't quite fit.
It is definitely a weird feeling coming from a 512 gb 13 Pro to a 64gb phone I said goodbye to years ago. But I can't believe the serendipity of this phone arriving when I needed it most. I can tell myself my mother-in-law is still looking after me. I'm very grateful to have this option.

Halloween. I change cases per the holidays or usually just a black case.
But lately I do like colorful cases, makes it easier to find the phone and adds some fun and cheer.

Everyone saying how huge the 6 Pro is. Well my case comparison shows the Pixel 3 XL to be darn near the same size, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max actually larger.
And my phone is still sitting in a nearby town no movement per FedEx since yesterday. Ugh. So close but sounds like I'm not getting it till Tuesday.
