I don't think I've read a single review of screen protectors for the Pixel 6 / 6 Pro on Amazon where buyers haven't said that the finger print sensor doesn't work when they've applied theirs.

Looks like the only option is to run a naked screen...
I think it's the tempered glass protectors. The TPU protectors seem to work fine. I'm using this and haven't really had any finger print problems. Also installation was super easy.

And my phone is still sitting in a nearby town no movement per FedEx since yesterday. Ugh. So close but sounds like I'm not getting it till Tuesday.
If it means anything, my phone never showed that it arrived in my state. It went from being in IL To being out for delivery in one action.

FedEx must be intentionally leaving out tracking steps in ways I have never seen before.

Quick comparison one is the pixel 6 pro the other is the s21 ultra

Lol I love those sneakers. And I love Tig's pumpkin colored case.

I have some Halloween spirit too. I was saving the ghost ring for my Pixel, but figured I need it on the Xr more. I can't even remember if the Xr does wireless charging or not, but I'm using wired charging for it with the Caudabe Lucid Clear case so I put the ghost on the Xr case instead. Since unfortunately Stormy will miss Halloween at my house. I took this on my S21 Ultra.20211030_164216.jpg

Very nice. I'm liking those cases and in the spirit indeed. Bravo

Anyone get an error when trying to add an icloud email? I can add to outlook, but not Gmail?
I used to get that sort of notice under different circumstances. I think it's to pressure you to use only one service's products. I could force acceptance by just ignoring such notices because the ones I saw weren't true errors. Just asinine marketing.

Yeah Grumpymom is right 2nd pic was s21 ultra
Wow okay that makes more sense. I mean usually Samsung is the saturated pic but they both look great and everything's subjective anyway lol. Now go take some pics on a sunny day of the blue skies and I want to see both against each other

funny when viewed on a phone I thought the second was a hair better, however viewed on my computer the second is less sharp than the first and the highlights in the plastic containers to the left and wall plugs were a little more blown out which is tell tale Samsung , and the first while a hair lighter overall with a bit less contrast was sharper, and details preserved better which led me to believe that was the pixel

Yeah planning on a long walk tomorrow if weather stays good. Unlike today

I'm guessing Pic 2 is the s21 Ultra. They both look great!

I agree, they both look good.. but the second one looks a little more saturated and going from my recent experience with this phone I feel like now Google is the one pumping up the colors but we shall see they both look good
I must be looking at different photos--the second pic looks far worse. Only the bright part of the pumpkin is moderately in focus and the narrow depth of field isn't creating a good 'portrait' mode look, just making everything slightly blurry. Nearly all of the first picture is in focus with greater dynamic range--lower lit areas show much more detail. First looks infinitely better to my eye.

If it makes a difference, I'm viewing the images on a new 16" MBP (not flexing, just showing I'm not looking on a smaller phone display ;))

Another example this was shot in pitch black. S21 ultra first pic. Pixel 6 pro 2nd pic

Neither are very good but I'm generally not a fan of the way the Pixel is trying to turn a barely lit image look like the middle of the day. I appreciate how Samsung and Apple do their 'night mode' much more--makes it look like a better lit night time image, if that makes any sense.

Techtober is such an exciting time! I've got my Xr mostly set up. Just a few odds and ends left to do. ICloud is being a bit of a chore so my husband is helping me fix something I don't even understand. I'm sitting quietly with my husband at the dining room table as he sets up his Pixel 6 Pro.

I'm exercising tremendous self control and not grabbing his new phone. I can’t wait to see Android 12. I didn’t try to see it on my Pixel 3XL. He’s talking into the phone. Sounds like much fun!

What I can see is I am going to indeed love the color. I love black side rails. The display is easier on my eyes than my s21 ultra. I can focus easier on text.

So far we took a picture of a cat on the table and my XR got the most natural photo, the 13 Pro has nice colors and exposure, but looks over sharpened and the Pixel 6 Pro looks over processed and the colors are a bit too cool. So, oddly, the XR perhaps wins. But we need to put them on a computer to be sure. One thing I noticed was the auto brightness on the Pixel needs a software update. It’s a bit quirky.

I’ve got to run out and get one of the kids to a party. Keep on having fun everyone.

Meanwhile...my phone is still somewhere stuck in a t-mobile warehouse. I've been charged. They noted on my account the promotion starts and they have had a shipping label for my trade in for several days. I'm guessing the earliest it may go out in Monday.

Bed time nearly for me now (how rock and roll, bed just after 11pm on a Saturday 😁) and battery is on 10% having come off charge at 9am this morning.

I definitely have not been on Instagram more than any other app today. Not a chance when I've watched at least 3 YT videos over 10 mins long each... So that's not correct.

But if that is my SoT, then I can't complain at all. Not when I've used my phone a lot today. Music, videos, camera, full brightness most of the day until the sun set etc.

Either way, in very happy with this battery. I use my phone most of a weekend, and it's got me through my entire Saturday so that's massively better than what my previous devices could have managed.
