Man I'm not real happy with the fingerprint sensor. It sucks compared to the 4a.
Anyone else not having a smooth experience with it?
In It's my biggest issue with it so far.

No issues for me. It's at least twice the speed of the Pixel 6 and pretty much 100%. If you haven't done so, go into settings and then display. Look towards the bottom of the page and make sure touch sensitivity is enabled. Its purpose is to increase sensitivity when using a screen protector.

You could also try deleting and re-registering your digit again.

One thing I notice is that Face Unlock needs decent light or it won't work. I'm in Florida and there was plenty of light in my room and Face Unlock would not recognize my mug. I had to stand by the window and then it worked. Also here's an FYI in case you haven't noticed but the Punch Hole turns green i.e. Halo when Face Unlock goes active.

It is a weird experience coming from a Pixel 4 and having a iPhone 14P.

Anyone have an issue with Google play system not updating? My Pixel 6a is Sept 1, and showing green and current. 7 Pro is showing never updating, yellow with a date of July 1st.

Do you know what's the app version number on the 6A? I'm looking for it at APK mirror

I've had no issues around the house inside without sunlight. It's been a rainy day today but I know in my bedroom earlier it was dark and it doesn't recognize the face

Hey guys a little bit on the Best Buy orders so if you log into the Best Buy app or website into your account , you will see the e-gift card there for you to use it online or in store if you haven’t received the email yet.. also the promotional extra $250 was taken off the top of the price of the phone so in my case the phone was 650 and then you get the regular trade in added after it to make up the whole total of promotion..

It has been so much better than the 6 from last year. But not quite as good as my S22U.
I did add each forefinger and thumb twice so maybe that helps?

I had the exact same thing happen as you and @Tig Bitties What did they tell you all about the e gift card? They couldn’t give me a receipt showing it, but said I should get it via email in a few hours. Nothing received yet on my end.

I didn't inquire about that because the promo was listed ( with the stated $200 value ) on my receipt. The enhanced trade in value of $480 was listed no where on the receipt.

But, as Bkdodger mentioned.. it's there now!!

The rep showed me her computer screen showing the $480 ($230 original + $250 promotional value ) but didnt know why the recipient wouldn't print as such! The manager assured me I'd be reimbursed the full $480.

Obviously knowing BB and their competency, I insisted and took a pic of their computer's display showing the full trade in value of $480!

BB is such a freaking **** show!!

Same issue today at BB as well. The screen showed $410 without promotions instead of $710 trade in value. Double checked with the manager and he assured me that final amount is written on the receipt. I came home and logged into my BB account through their app to check the receipt and $710 was being reflected. So yeah BB systems suck but they offered the best trade in value and pick up was decent to almost mediocre lol.

It was definitely easier to set up, which was a plus. I love my z Flip power button. FPS that one is ridiculously fast too.. though I do like that, Google lowered the power and volume buttons on this phone

It just occurred to me ( and you probably did this already ) but when I placed my pre-order, I got an automated email from BB asking me to verify my email for the $200 e-card delivery.

Just throwing it out there, in case you overlooked or missed that email!

Well that's messed up.. I'd try chat first, and then head out to the store.. As retarded as BB is..I'm optimistic they'll resolve this in your favor!

Ok, fingerprint working good now since I deleted my first thumbprint and did 2 more.
Even redid my update for the camera and it's working well.
Didn't work at all with initial setup and update so I removed the update, updated it again hours later. Maybe they set out another update.

If you have gmail then try checking your promotions or social tab for the email. After I submitted my order I saw the invoice and details about my gift card in my ‘promotions’ tab and not primary.

Those usually go in my updates folder. That's where my Google store order info came to.

Why an updates folder? IDK, I don't use Gmail very often.
