I did the same and it helped. I moved it back to QHD+ and 120Hz and no changes so it is still smooth. Perhaps a software bug?I noticed the scrolling a bit off as well. As a test I put the screen res back to 1080 from 1440 and I think it might be behaving a bit better now.
That works neatly. Patch will fix it to get controlled in FHD, I guess.I did the same and it helped. I moved it back to QHD+ and 120Hz and no changes so it is still smooth. Perhaps a software bug?
The 7 Pro is definitely taking a battery hit in QHD+ and @ 120Hz
Yes it should but 120Hz also hits the battery as well. I disabled both and it is still very smooth but you can tell there is a difference. It's like playing a racing game on a PC at 30Hz vs 60Hz. A racing game at 60Hz is very noticeable and liquid smooth. That's the best way to describe 60Hz vs 120Hz on a phone.Would 1080p make a significant difference?
But I need my 120hz, one of the reasons I have this phone.
I'm very pleased with the Ringke clear case. Spigen also makes quality clear cases. I might add that battery is much better on the Pro at least while idle. I had my phone at 70% at 8pm last night and this morning it dropped to 66%. That's a huge difference as before on my P6 I would drop between 8-12% overnight.I'm intrigued how my battery will do today with it being the first day off charge. Currently at 60% at near 3pm. Not too bad.
I need to get a decent case for the phone. I want the official Hazel case but it's still out of stock. Got a cheap one off Amazon yesterday but I hate it!
I'll be honest, I'm not a case guy at all. I hardly used one throughout the life of my 6 Pro and it actually held up well, screen aside. Using one on my 14 PM was a total no go. That phone did NOT need any more weight or bulk.I'm very pleased with the Ringke clear case. Spigen also makes quality clear cases.
For now Face Unlock separates the 6P and the 7 Pro. That's unless Google plans to bring that feature to the 6 Series. So now it's the first morning having 7 Pro, and compared to just everyday use compared to my 6 Pro, there's barely any noticeable difference. The phones are extremely similar.
But... For sure the brightness on the 7 Pro is a big upgrade. And the curved edge screen for sure feels less curved now in a good way.
And the zoom and macro. Can't overlook those as they are both great features IMO.For now Face Unlock separates the 6P and the 7 Pro. That's unless Google plans to bring that feature to the 6 Series.
I remember the same thing with the 6 series at the beginning...but thankfully not seeing yet on my end ..Some Pixel 7 Pro users are reporting scrolling issues with their new phones

Macro focus is a step up. I thought this is waste of money initially coming from 6 Pro.So now it's the first morning having 7 Pro, and compared to just everyday use compared to my 6 Pro, there's barely any noticeable difference. The phones are extremely similar.

Sweaty palms will have more than just sweaty palms that he can't come in here and post about this. Be having a coronary. 🤣Some Pixel 7 Pro users are reporting scrolling issues with their new phones

If this place doesn't ban network IP's then all he or she has to do is create a new account.Sweaty palms will have more than just sweaty palms that he can't come in here and post about this. Be having a coronary. 🤣

So far, I'm loving my 7 Pro. I have had no issues with scrolling. The face unlock is great when it works. As others have said, it is useless in dark or challenging environments like when light is behind you etc. Due to the lack of infared it just can't read your face. But I like being able to have my lock screen content kept private until I unlock it which is a feature I loved on my pixel 4 and iPhones.
The watch is just another smart watch for me. I like it, but I hardly look at it or interact with it. I just don't "get" them. With it being a freebie, I'm keeping it on my wrist and it was handy out and about today having notifications viewable whilst my phone was in my pocket.
Hoping we will start to see some 3rd party bands on Amazon soon.
I agree a skin is about as much as you could put on these large phones.. I tried to go naked with the P6P but the phone was just way too slippery with the size was not helping trying to carry it around.. Right now the only two phones that I carry naked are my iPhone 12 Pro and the flip.. I'm going to leave P7P in the clear case for grip ..Off topic, but totally agree the iPhone Pro Max phones are giant, thick, and heavy, adding a case is an absolute no for me. I don't have an iPhone now, but did have the 12 Pro Max, and that was a beast of a phone, and even the slimmest cases felt like it add bulk I didn't want. A Dbrand skin is best, and just be extra careful.
Same with my Pixel 6 Pro, cases added a bit too much, but does help with the grip. I ordered a matte black skin for my 7 Pro, will most likely rock that
I guess I just might be too used to large phones because the Pro Max is about the same size in dimension as my Pixel 4a 5G. I don't find the Pro Max large at all especially since it has a 6.7" screen.I agree a skin is about as much as you could put on these large phones..
