Google (or maybe I should blame Asurion, idk?) is really dragging serious ass on processing these trade-ins.
Not sure it's Google. It's a place where trade in's go to whoever asseses them.
It's the same address in TN that I sent my Samsung trade ins to. Probably some big warehouse or maybe they share the building, idk.

My Google trade in was actually done faster than the Samsung's as I bought them first by 2 weeks

IIRC, Asurion is the parent company of uBreakifix. I went to one of their stores back in July and they told me the process of what's involved processing trade in phones. They are the service provider for Google. They have a machine they plug the phone into and it spits out how much battery and storage wear the phone has.

Loving the pixel / nothing ear 1 combo so far.

Fun fact, the nothing case has scratch protection built in and installed. Case should hold up better than 3x more expensive AirPod pro.

ANC has been great and the BT sync on my google account is a neat touch

If Google keep their high trade in values and stack that with the Black Friday discount, I might pick up the 7 Pro soon. Probably would have to pair it with a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro though, because I cant see myself running the Pixel Watch. Just too many concessions made there. Good to see everyone is enjoying their Pros and that none of the typically Pixel early issues are popping up.

I updated my phone last night, and since the update my phone AND watch today have both been problem central.
Twice my phone has locked up (both times it was whilst using Twitter, so could be the app but not sure). The phone became totally unresponsive, just frozen on the screen. Whilst pressing the lock button, the locking sound played, but the screen stayed on.
Both times, the phone just stayed frozen up for around 5 mins until it reset itself.

The Watch. Watch had been on charge all night, took it off charge then noticed on a morning call the battery was on 42%. Weird. I preusmed I hadn't put it on the puck properly, but you can't go wrong with it so found it strange.
Cut to nearly 7pm tonight as I am tpying this - Watch percentage is still on 42%.

So today has definitely been a freaky friday kind of day for both these devices. Or rather troublesome tuesday.

Hopefully this doesn't keep happening!

I guess I will hold off updating if I can.

On a trip now, use Twitter often, and with my iMessage relay working, I don't want to bork that when I can't be home to restart the remote server if I have issues.

Mine does that using the Daily Mail app. Been watching for an update. Haven't got one yet for the app.

Very strange. Twitter has never done it before and I use it multiple times a day so just a bit odd that I had two complete freeze ups. The Watch still thinks it's on 42% 🙄.

Did the November update this morning. My phone froze and been stuck on this screen for an hour now. Every few seconds or so it moves a tiny bit.

I was viewing a video in the ring doorbell app when this happened.

Nothing seems to reboot it. Guess I am waiting until the battery dies.

I ordered today while the trade in values are still high. Google claims to price match inside the return window (which is 14 days). In theory, I should be able to ask for a price match on 11/17 to take advantage of both The high trade in values and Black Friday pricing. I also used a Google Superfan code that earns you a $100 Google Store credit (let me know if you need one and I’ll happily provide mine).

Had that happen to me before while doing an update on my 4a. Well it was stuck in the circle rotating update thing.
Was doing it for about 5 hours til someone told me to do a reboot by holding power button and I think volume down or maybe it was power and both up and down.

Anyways after like 15- 20 seconds it restarted.

Check out YouTube to find out.

You can do a force restart

I tried a bunch of different methods I found online and none would work. The phone shut down about an hour ago and I can’t get it back on now.

This brings up another downside of eSim. I tried transferring back to my 14 Pro Max but T-Mobile requires me to give them a validation code sent via text, which I can’t access. I chatted with T-Mobile support and they couldn’t help unless I logged into my account, which is trying to do 2 factor, by you guessed it, sending me a text. They told me to go into store with my ID if I can’t get the pixel up and running.

I’m leaving it plugged in and will try powering on from time to time. But for now I have access to my messages or phone calls.

My wife and I updated to the Nov version last night and haven't had any issues.

On an unrelated note, I dropped my wife's Pixel Watch face down on hard tile tonight when changing out the band to the new Stretch Band she just got today, and to my amazement it did not crack. It actually has no signs of damage at all. It was a hard, loud drop.

The question I want to know is, did you tell her?!!!

Yeah screw eSim. Never switching until I have to.

Hope your phone straightens out but if not, send it back and get another. I guess I been lucky. Never had to send one back.

You’re putting a lot of faith into Googles customer service, lol. But that does sound like the best way to get the max discount.

I’m actually a member of Pixel Superfans as well. Where do I find the discount codes?
