Indeed. Looking sharp. Really happy with the change. Also increased the storage to 256GB in the process.

I really love the back, but the iPhone has just spoiled me when it comes to the front. I can't deal with the chin. I have a Pixel 6a for work and the chin on that also drives me crazy.

Looks really nice everywhere else though. I love how the white glass on the back looks a lot.

How is everyone's trade in going? I was getting worried that I shipped my Pixel 4a on Oct 29th. When I checked yesterday on the tracking progress it showed it wasn't even delivered which got me super worried. To my dismay I just received an email from Google that my Pixel 4a was accepted and the full trade in price of $300 was to be refunded to my account. :p

I hope everyone else is having better luck with their trade in's.

@Heat_Fan89 it took almost a month for mine to get credited, finally happening last week after I got on a chat with Google about it. I got the full amount I was hoping to get, despite my screen having a couple small scratches on it.

Some speculation in other forums is that the tracking info stops at Nashville as they "batch" them for the company processing them, and the company picks them up from the USPS rather than them being delivered there.

I chased Google support again today re my trade in. They replied with a generic, useless message. Couple of hours later (now) just checked my emails. 2 have come through. One saying trade in received. One saying all assessed, payment is on its way. 😏.

Took way too long. But glad it's almost done.

Mine still shows not delivered, delayed..... and I got my trade in money back on Oct 28th.

The Pro is being offered for $500 through spectrum mobile and it is very tempting to play around with android again.

I just don't think I will use it much.

Wow, Google Store in Canada is selling the Pixel 7 Pro for C$879 ($300 off), and the regular P7 for C$649 ($150 off).
If I'd have known they would be doing that I'd have waited and bought the Pro over my regular 7.
Not that I'm unhappy with the 7, but I'd have loved to have that telephoto lens.

I just received Google message at 6pm.
No Yodel noti yet.

Which colour did you choose?
I opted for obsidian and claimed at 12:01 midnight on 2nd Nov.
Same here.

I went for the silver and charcoal option. Fingers crossed I get that one, though to be fair unless it's the gold I'll be happy either way.

Some of the stylish cases sure do look nice and tempting but been really happy with my basic Spigen thin fit case that I only intended to be a temporary solution.

The material feels really nice, slides in and out of my pocket well enough (Especially compared to apple silicon cases), while also prevents it from sliding off stuff. Seems to do well enough with keeping dust out of inside the case too.

I may take the plunge on a different case, but not really left wanting so far.

I *might* try to snag one on this supposed early black Friday deal. Dealing with some car bs right now however and I don't actually *need* another high end phone, it does look nice to have however.

A 6p is probably a somewhat reasonable idea as I don't do a bunch of stuff that requires top shelf specs with my device. And seems I do get lemons, why spend more?

Guess I'll see what type of mood I'm in when the 7 sale goes live or what the backorder wait might be.

Wow talk about flashbacks. I remember buying a Newton in the US back in the early 90's when PDA's were all the rage. Back then the big selling point for the Newton was the note taking features and IIRC you could scribble in a certain way on the screen and it would convert that to text, kind of like we do on a tablet where you slide your finger on the keyboard and it produces text on the screen. Maybe i'm wrong about that part since it was the early 90's but there was a big selling point for the Newton vs Microsoft's PDA which used a forked Windows OS. It may have been called Windows CE, IIRC.

Black Friday deals are up, but they’ve reduced the trade in values. So, it doesn’t really change the savings if you’re trading in a device. It only betters the deal if you are buying outright with no trade in.

Looks like trade-in for what I was looking at (I have an old iPhone Xs I'm looking to turn into a Pixel 7) has actually gone up from last week, which was down from the previous week -- so I'd check with the site directly, depending on what old devices you have. A couple weeks ago they were offering a boosted $430 for a 256 GB Xs. Last week it was $410. Today it was $420 and I'm going ahead.

My cousin is working with a Pixel 5, google was offering $385 as a trade last week and is showing $400 today. It's all over the place as to how they are deciding these, I guess.

Trade in estimate for a 4a 5G (the device I traded in for my Pixel 7) is the same as I got.

I'll refresh my offer for my code - if anyone wants a code to use at checkout to get a future $100 credit on the Google Store for accessories, DM me and I'll send you my referral code. Only valid for the US store.

I thought you all might get a good laugh about the Bellroy Pixel case I sent back over 3 weeks ago. If you ever wondered why the US postal service is poor, this is a good start...

For reference, the package was / is being sent to Bellroy, about 30 miles from me.
Make sure to view all tracking history.

Hmmm, maybe it’s just the model phone I have then.

I had a similar experience with USPS several years ago. I purchased an item and the package was stuck between to distribution centers for close to 3 weeks. The funny part about it was I actually called USPS and explained it to them. The package had my correct address and zipcode but for whatever reason, it kept bouncing between two DC's. I never saw the package.
