Would you pay up to $1300 (my guess) for a possible 6.5 inch iPhone X Plus next year? If true, it would match the current price of the base model MacBook Pro. Current iPhone X owners, do you think we are beta testing the X? Businesses are pushing the boundaries in terms of pricing. Look at video games with their micro-transactions, half baked games, and forcing loot boxes down our throats (sorta), laptop and phone makers pushing you to buy dongles and so forth.

So far the FaceID has been proven to be unlocked without the users face, initial early scratches/easily scratch-able phones (multiple threads in this forum), GLOD (green line of death), glass is easily breakable compared to previous iPhone models, cracking speakers at high volume, and the ever so notch problem (only to those that are annoyed by it).

I am enjoying the X so far and really love the form factor, as I can hold it in one hand comfortably again over the Plus phones. However, the Plus Xs seem tempting, if true. I have, without a doubt, confidence that Apple will release a Plus size X next year. That way they can get people who bought the X to buy another new iPhone again. It's always been Apple's strategy. Give em a little now, and incrementally come out with something better. Or, do you think Apple should have released the Plus size now alongside with the regular X?

Positives on the Plus size X:

-True multitasking like Ipad Pro
-Picture in Picture
-Longer battery life
-Better PPI
-120hz screen

The way this is going, I assume the regular iPhone models (6, 7, 8 styles) be phased out.

[doublepost=1520988723][/doublepost]Hell ya.....I loved my iPhone 8 Plus. They say that the iPhone X which I own now screen’s just as big as the iPhone 8 Plus, but it does not feel that way for whatever reason. It’s hard to believe I’ll be 54 by the time the potentially named iPhone 11 plus arrives in Sept of 2018. Being 54 and now having so, so eye sight that big screened iPhone 11 plus is looking pretty good. We will have to see how it feels to hold of course, but I preferred the feel of the iPhone 8 Plus in my hand over the iPnone X...maybe it’s from having big hands?
[doublepost=1520989240][/doublepost]
No.

Any phone bigger than the iPhone X will just be uncomfortable to use and carry. The X is already pushing that border, in my opinion.
Not a chance......personally I feel like the iPhone X Is to small screen wise and feel wise. They say the screen size of the X is the same as the 7 Plus which I owned, but the x just seems smaller for whatever reason. I’d love a bigger I screen and would love to see an iPhone 11 plus model. If it’s $1,350 though that’s a little ridicules for a phone at that point. I guess we will have to see how much more it adds to my lease.

Absolutely. I'm a junkie and I like playing with the new toys

I know there will be a lot of hype surrounding this new 6.5 iPhone X Plus and We know Apple start at a higher price , but my question is what exclusive hardware/software features do they incorporate into the iPhone X Plus to entice customers to want to upgrade to a larger, more expensive model. I actually don’t think the 6.5 iPhone X Plus will be highly constrained at launch, I think it won’t be for everybody, because it is a fairly large iPhone and the price point.

My US$0.02, the iPhone X as well as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ were all designed to be used with these VR/AR headsets. Fortunately it seems that the manufacturers of the headsets are getting to the point where they can provide better screens than using a smartphone.

I noticed that Samsung has backed off this trend and made both S9’s slightly wider than their predecessors.

I share the same question. Speaking for myself, the larger screen is enough to entice me to the new plus size.

I agree. As much as I like having a smaller phone for comfortability and handling, having a larger viewing experience is much easier transition on the eyes and for watching content and media.

Landscape mode, battery capacity and upgraded rear camera would be expected, since those also were shared with the iPhone Plus models. I think Apple will expand with Augemented reality capabilities, perhaps with the upgraded camera with iPhone X Plus, Which they will use that to market AR further with the iPhone X Plus variant.

No. I won’t ever buy a phone that big again. I switched from the 7 plus to the X and I’m very happy with the smaller form factor.

I'm very interested in the 6.1" LCD model.

In comparison with current generation iPhone X, it has:
  1. Much more affordable price
  2. Bigger screen
  3. LCD screen with no burn-in, no nasty motion artefacts or pwm
  4. Aluminium frame, less breakable
  5. If we're lucky, improved/faster Face ID
It would remedy virtually every issue I have with the current generation iPhone X. Too bad it's going to be a long wait still.

Agreed with your points. Believe of the 6.1 LCD model does launch, it will be the most popular and most constrained model. The only drawback that I think it might be missing is 3D Touch, which might help reduce the cost. For me personally, I like 3D Touch, but I would still consider the 6.1 LCD model depending on what it has to offer come September 2018.

$1300? - NO!
This assumes that the current iPhone X will basically retain it's price which would make no sense.
If the new/bigger/better/improved version takes over its price point and the current X drops - yes that would be reasonable. If they go even further up in pricing, they will alienate a lot of people (myself included).

I don’t think 6.5 iPhone X will start at $1300, I believe will be less than that around/under $1200. But depending on the storage model and somebody add AppleCare, you could easily exceed over $1300. But I still have to see what Apple has to offer to entice the consumer why somebody would want a 6.5 iPhone X Plus.

Depends. Likely only a couple more bucks a month so price isn’t a factor. Not sure I want to carry a phone that big anymore.
I’m the same. I’m on a yearly upgrade programme with my carrier so I can get it for a few more pounds a month and as much as I do like the compactness of the X, I love phablets and will cart them around even if they are too big. The X is the smallest phone I’ve had since 2012.

I see the regular sized X dropping in price and the bigger version taking over it's spot + maybe a little bit extra, but definitely not $1300 to start. The size is also the main reason I didn't pick up the X - I'm used to a larger phone now and couldn't possibly be happy with a smaller device. I'm 6'4 and got big claws - I need a big phone LOL

It’s a trade off for me. I do like having larger display for viewing purposes and battery life. But I don’t like carrying around larger iPhone in my pocket. The new 6.1 LCD iPhone might be interesting if the 6.5 iPhone X doesn’t seem fitting for me.

If I can’t fit a phone in my pocket it no longer classes as a mobile phone. Having a larger screen is less important for me too as I own an iPad. I’d rather have a standard size iPhone with no portability or grip issues.

I use a handbag so don’t have to do the pocket test. So apart from actually holding and using it carrying it around isn’t a problem for me.

That’s why a Plus is probably more appealing for women. Most of the sales people for my company have iPhone Pluses but they are able to carry them in deep suit jacket pockets or in handbags etc. I don’t really carry a bag often and I tend to wear skinny jeans when I’m not at work so a Plus would be a nightmare.

I think it’s just different tastes. I don’t need a huge phone to carry around as I can do everything I need on a standard size device. Any serious media consumption I can do on my iPad and I don’t do that on the move. My wife uses an SE as she is petite and wouldn’t fit a Plus in her pocket. Different strokes for different folks and all that. :)

I’m actually sick of the small narrow size of it and want a Plus size again bad. Buying X Plus for sure. About ready to use my old 7 Plus again honestly.

Face ID used to be great but is now missing me a lot, not sure why.

I'm a short squatty guy and I don't wear tight jeans and I find the + models to be uncomfortable in any long pants I wear. And only about half my cargo shorts have a big enough lower pocket to fit even my 6s, which is why I shift to my SE for summer/shorts weather.

I’m 5’ 8” and my iPhone 6S fills my pocket. I’ve tried with a friends 7 Plus and know for a fact it would be a pain in the arse to own it. It sticks out the top of my pocket and nearly comes out when you sit down. I couldn’t put up with that but everybody is different.

I’m in, once any of these things are a reality:

Band 71
5G on T-Mobile
4X4 Mimo
New battery tech

I don’t think 5G will arrive until 2019 on T-Mobile, but I could be wrong. What I’m really waiting for is band 71 and new battery tech.
