wow, 3 messages being a smartass, instead of pasting the direct URL..

You're not very good with people are you?

Hate people who don't help others. Here's the link:

Yeah, I had tried that and it wasn't working. I think I figured out why - possibly something to do with how Macrumors attachment files/URLs are named? Anyway, when I saved a copy of the image to my computer and then uploaded it to Google I was able to find it that way.

For anyone else who might like to grab it, the file is here.

Oops, didn't see you just found it. My bad haha

Thanks for posting it anyway! I like nice people. :D

There really are a lot of gorgeous desktops in this thread. It looks like I need to do some other tinkering while I'm at it, haha. I may wait until I get the new iPhone in the fall (or whenever it comes out), which will also give me time to learn more of the ins and out of Yosemite before I start messing with it.

There are still some of the icons on my menubar that doesn't fit in, but i hope they will be updated soon. Especially the one for 1password. I'm running my resolution in 1920x1200 non hidpi on a rmbp late 2013 15".

Could someone running Yosemite on a 13" Macbook Air please post a full sized screenshot of their desktop with a Safari window with a few tabs and bookmark bar present as well? Light mode preferred

I just want to get a better idea of exactly how it will look on my machine

thanks :)

I really like dark mode with certain backgrounds.

My current desktop of Yosemite

I recently upgraded from my MacBook Air 13" (Mid - 2013) to a Retina MacBook Pro 13" (Mid - 2014) 8GB of RAM and all I can say is.. Yosemite is stunning on the retina display. Just stunning. All tho Yosemite as far more stable on a non-retina Mac in therms of performance in it's current state.

Currently I'm running the highest scaled resolution of 1680x1050 since I need the most workspace as possible when I do school work with Photoshop and so on.

About the icons: I don't remember where I got most of them, but I made the Spotify and Skype icon my self.

Spent 10 mins fiddling with icons then found a new wallpaper. Dark mode would be even more awesome if all the windows followed suit.

How did you change your icons for the menubar? my icons on 1password and dropbox looks like garbage in dark mode.

Took a bit of messing around:

1Password
Locate the 1Password Mini app which is inside the actual 1Password app, then find the menubar icon. I just opened it in Photoshop and inverted the colours and replaced it.

For the other apps, so Dropbox, Caffeine and f.lux, just find the menu bar icons and rename the inverted states to replace the active states. They all have white versions that show when they're selected. Dropbox is a bit of a pain because there are so many.

The most recent version of iStat Menus (version 5) has support for dark mode.

EDIT: I've attached the icons for the above apps for you to use. The only actually modified one is the 1Password one, the rest are just renamed.

You can find the 1Password icon in 1Password.app > Contents > Library > LoginItems > 1Password mini.app > Contents > Resources
