Full load with Handbrake: it gets quite a bit hot. Strangely enough, even though the CPU and the heatsink get very hot, the top of the laptop doesn't. Even by the hinge for the display it only gets slightly warm.

CPU Temp and Speed

Since purchasing my MacBook about a month ago (upgraded from an OLD Mac desktop), it's always bothered me how just watching a video online will cause the CPU and fan speed to go crazy. Very loud. That would be the only complaint I have with my MacBook.

Here's my MBP which is currently running Garageband (I'm making me some custom ringtones which is fun) I never have to shell out money for a ringtone again! I love Garageband.

Is there an "important" stat in for temperatures I should look out for (ex. HD temp, CPU A, etc.)?
