my black book is currently at 46C

what's the highest temp anyone's gotten their mac?
 
I've gotten 183 F before but i figured out the problem. I had 2 printers trying to spool that werent even connected to the computer so it was taking up the whole cpu basically.

the chip would fail at those temps if i remember the specifications

Safe operation is defined as anything below 100°C. The catastrophic thermal protection temperature is 125°C; although it won't physically melt until 1400°C.

when I oc my quadcore, I try to limit my load cpu to 62.5C. I think the first thing I am going to do when I get a mac is reapply the tim.

I think this is the highest it has ever been. I was encoding some video and watch a video online, I'm surprised it got so hot.

Running on Ethernet

Temperature (as in outside) when computer was started ~20℃
Now ~16℃
