I paid $4.19 for the cheap stuff but I didn't see the prices posted anywhere.

Heck, what can you expect from a small rural town with few signs for anything? But I expected something above four bucks and on its way to $4.50 a gallon for regular unleaded.

Your gas is also taxed to hell; meanwhile, I bet your minimum wage is higher, while your cost of living is comparable or lower.

We're at $3.59/Gal right now. Definitely not as bad as some of you have it, but it totally sucks as a poor as hell college student. A fill-up costs me about $60, and lasts me about two weeks. But anytime I want to go home (which, I will for Easter), I will go through about two tanks.

EDIT: Decided to do the research myself; see that you actually don't have a minimum wage in effect. I applaud you, as I don't believe in a minimum wage, myself. That said, what I said does hold true for a fair amount of countries that make fun of Americans for complaining about gasoline prices.

Around here, I'm fairly certain it's around $4/Gal.

The cheapest gas station in the area is a good 3-4 miles down, and I still drive there to get gas.

The other day I saw it for $3.60/Gal, and filled it up. Honda Civics FTW.

I paid $3.50 today 87 in NJ. I fill up every three days for work. I get around 27-28 mpg in my 05 Civic Si.

Stupid gas companies. There is no reason the price should be going up right now. They're just trying to suck out more money.

Haha, spoiled Americans ;)
Cheapest in my town, Gothenburg, Sweden, is $8,5 per gallon...

Agreed we are spoiled. Unfortunately the U.S. has a horrible infrastructure as far as public transportation and such so many people live far from their jobs and have to drive everywhere.

I remember in New Zealand paying $4 something per liter

Here where I live at the Sheetz gas stations its $3.75.

Don't wanna jinx anything, but living in New Orleans, we almost always seem to be under the national average when it comes to gas prices - paid $3.49/gal yesterday at Sam's Club. Shell tends to be more expensive, holding around $3.75/gal right now.

I can't even *imagine* living in California with the prices creeping towards $5/gal...

It's about $3.90 here. But that sucks, because it costs like 65 bucks to fill my Jeep. Gas Guzzler, the price you pay to be able to drive in snow.

Wait a second, per liter?

That's more than 2€/L, you spoiled Dutchmen. :D

Wow, that is really insane. But only a question of a couple of years till the 2€/L mark has reached Europe as well (and probably another five decades for the US).

The chevron near my house is 3.79 for regular...my car requires premium...which sucks...$80/tank. The problem is the station only has gas for like 4 days out of the week and then runs out for a week. Happens every time.

Yes and that is the discussion here in Sweden. As you might know we have a big chunk of our population out in the woods far from any larger cities and these areas are slowly dying in favor of urbanisation. And without any communion service worth mentioning these people suffer from the high gas prices as you might guess.

Either way, didn't mean to offend anyone mattcube64 :)
