In a coffee shop.

Lovely headphones; I love the design, the sound, the portability. A few years ago, I bought the P3s, shortly after they had first come out, and, some months later, I also bought the P5s. I use both regularly, and find them excellent.

Actually, the P5s are easily the best and the most comfortable headphones I have ever had - I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have a terrific sound quality, are exceptionally comfortable, extremely portable, and they look simply amazing.

Exactly. I was originally looking at Grado SR80i's, but they seemed to leak a lot of sound and since I spend my days in public transport and the university library, that really wasn't a good idea.

I then found out that Sennheiser's HD25-I II had great sound, but I didn't really like the design. And then I saw these - I originally listened to the P5, since that was the only B&W they had on display, and it sounded good so I just decided to go for the P3 since a) I've read that the sound really doesn't differ that much and b) they could actually be folded - I really need that portability.

I'm so glad I went for the P3; the bass is very good - not too heavy but just enough - and the sound is crystal clear.

I think this might even be the best purchase of the year - I listen to music a lot, and this purchase has really changed not only the way I hear music, but also how I experience it :)

Currently I have a pair of Beats Pro and B&W P5's. I'm now trying to sell the Pro's in order to afford the P7's.
The P5's are my go to headphone, every single time. They have some of the best sound I have ever heard.
However... If you like the P5's, try the P7's. They make them sound tinny, which I did not know was possible. Cannot wait to own a pair.

Sennheiser HD414, HD280Pro, HD380Pro. Didn't mean to get all of the same brand. I just happened to like the sound and features of those particular models.

are beats as bad as everybody suggests?

They aren't the greatest, but I don't think they are horrible. I own Studios and Mixrs. The Mixrs sound amazing but they squeeze my head a lot. The Studios have an amazing fit and a decent sound. You can get better, but I love the bass they produce.

They are a fashion/image first brand. They are overpriced for the sound quality they offer. They tend to have a distorted response so that they exaggerate the low-end. If you're interested in a good sound quality to price ratio or a neutral response, they are not the headphones for you.

I personally owned Tours about 5/6 years ago when they first came out, and I found the sound the exact same idea as studios, very good but too much low end.
But the thing that got me was comfort, they were horrifically uncomfortable on the ears, and I couldn't wear them much more than an hour.
They may have sorted this issue now, but I was a little disappointed with them.

EDIT:
Photo seems to have uploaded twice in two posts, odd.
Sorry about that,

I have a pair of P3s, which I love. I really wanted to own the P7s, but after bringing them home from the Apple Store and trying them out they were just too uncomfortable. About 5 min in they left a dull pain on the top of my skull, and 15 min in I had a splitting headache :(.

It's a damn shame too, they sounded pretty sweet from what I heard. I ended up exchanging for a pair of Sennheiser Momentums, which I am enjoying immensely. Also picked up a E12 Mont Blanc and it works decently with the Senns, despite their low impedance to begin with. Provides just enough sub-bass to make the Momentums sound richer down low, eliminating probably the only "weakness" in the Momentums. (nothing beats the vPulse + amp for bass though, imo)

Anyway I hope you enjoy your P7s when you get them. I'm extremely jealous, they just didn't work out for my melon.
