I have a pair of P3s, which I love. I really wanted to own the P7s, but after bringing them home from the Apple Store and trying them out they were just too uncomfortable. About 5 min in they left a dull pain on the top of my skull, and 15 min in I had a splitting headache :(.

It's a damn shame too, they sounded pretty sweet from what I heard. I ended up exchanging for a pair of Sennheiser Momentums, which I am enjoying immensely. Also picked up a E12 Mont Blanc and it works decently with the Senns, despite their low impedance to begin with. Provides just enough sub-bass to make the Momentums sound richer down low, eliminating probably the only "weakness" in the Momentums. (nothing beats the vPulse + amp for bass though, imo)

Anyway I hope you enjoy your P7s when you get them. I'm extremely jealous, they just didn't work out for my melon.

Oh man that is such a shame! I'm slightly worried whether that might happen to me! Theres always the chance, not the makers fault, we all just hear differently/feel comfort differently and most importantly, all have different sized heads!
Thanks for the info though man, enjoy the Momentums!

Yeah I'm sure you'll be fine. I haven't read a single complaint about the P7s in terms of comfort, which is why I was doubly disappointed it didn't work out. Weird, but yeah, guess that's how it works out sometimes.

I'm sorry to hear that, too, as I am a huge fan of the Bowers & Wilkins range of headphones. I have posted elsewhere (and earlier in the thread) that the P5s are the most comfortable (and portable) headphones I have ever owned, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Earlier this year, I bought the P7s, and must say that while the sound quality was superb, they were not as comfortable to wear while listening to music for long periods as I had hoped, which was a considerable disappointment to me. So, when I returned to work abroad, I left the P7s behind, in my study.

Anyway, I was home again over the Christmas, and tried out the P7s (again); this time, having been broken in somewhat, wearing them while listening to music for a good while was an absolute pleasure and had become much more comfortable.

Just randomly picked up a pair of Sennheiser HD203s for $30 at Best Buy. These are my first pair of closed back headphones and boy am I loving these. Might think about upgrading to a more expensive pair in a couple months.

Just got these! So comfortable but I wish they were more loud. Plugged into my Mac they're fine but plugged into the iPhone or iPad they don't go as high.

Agreed! In addition, it would be nice to have the bluetooth dongle work with the mac as well as the iPhone

Have those same headphones. Watch out for the cord fraying near the speaker part, that's what killed my last pair. Sent them back to Sennheiser to get a replacement, took 5 days in all, including shipping mine out.

Post your headphones

Wife got me a pair for my birthday a few weeks ago. :) Best pair of headphones I've ever used, absolutely incredible.
