Now that is one handsome pair of headphones. I'm going to have to hunt down a pair here in London to try on.

I've been trying these out for the past week or two:

Amazon had them on sale for like £79 so I figured I'd give them a go. Sounded great, but my big ears were practically crushed by these, they were super tight. They're going back this week and the hunt for a pair of headphones continues!

I had a pair these. Had similar problems with them hurting my ears. Great sounding headphones, thought they were expensive at £169, worth the money at £79.

Regarding the MH40s, Apple store is your best bet or if your central then try Selfridges.

If you otherwise like then, you could try the H6 or H7. They are both over the ear instead of on ear. I have a pair of H6 and really like to use them when being out and about.

That is a very good reason :D But congratulations with the purchase. How are they?
Clarity is high across the dynamic spectrum from the highs, to the mids, and the lows. Bass response is very nice, and not overly consuming either. Sounds are rich, deep, warm, and detailed too.

The touch interface is rather nice. Its about as intuitive as using an iOS device with the swipes and taps to control what's going on.

The wireless freedom is so wonderful. I've never experienced this before as I've always had wires for headphones and earbuds.

The primary usage for these are for when I'm at the gym, of which I just returned home from. They performed very well and stayed on my head without any problems. Though I removed them for some exercises where I had to lay on my back.

I also listened to them last night for about an hour testing out some of my favorite music in various genres. I can't complain at all about how they sound because they sound fantastic all around. They blow my Sony MDRV6's out of the water in every way.

Just got a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones. It's my first quality pair of headphones (non-standard Apple earbuds). My goodness! The difference is real! I still like Apple's offering for in the car, walking around campus, etc., but when I'm home I am noticing a real difference in my orchestrations, including instruments that I never knew where there!

And though they're not noise canceling, they block out a good amount of sound. I can't hear myself typing on my Apple keyboard right now.

Right now I re-riped some of the more complex songs and have made a series of playlists of 256 vs Apple Lossless files and am doing a blind test to see if I can really tell a difference. If I can, I'll re-rip my 1800 songs. -_-

Just received these for Christmas! Mee Audio 4.0 Bluetooth Wireless & wired with mic.
Extremely comfortable (I wear glasses) and sound superb!!!

I had the M40x but returned them in favour of the Sony MDR-10RBT. Both the M40x and M50x feel too big for my head even at the smallest size setting. The Sony's feel great and sound great also. Yes the M40x sound great also but were just shy of enough bass for my liking. It makes sense as they are "tuned flat" for a neutral response for critical listening in a studio. But I'm not one who makes music. The Sony's are quite nice after burn in and have solid clarity. Plus the bluetooth feature is a nice touch. That being said I'd love to get the AT MSR7 but my fear again would be that they're too big for my head. Guess I have a small head. LOL

Just picked up these amazing B&O H8's today.

You wrote about this elsewhere, but I think these an excellent purchase and that you'll get many hours of enjoyment out of them.

I was going to get the H7's but they were out of stock and I wasn't going to leave empty handed!

Excellent reason to buy them.

What a wonderful review. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, now that you have experienced what a really good pair of headphones have to offer, there is no going back. Ever. And yes, the difference is real. Very real.

Anyway, enjoy them, and, above all, enjoy the experience of using them.

Quality choice in BT Wireless headphones ...I've been eyeing these lately but may choose the H7's (H6's are wired only, btw) due to the price.

I should really SMACK YOU not out of jealousy but out of ignorance! You do NOT take these to the gym for working out for at least two reasons (you use JBirds in-ear for the gym).

reason 1: Music Quality ... far too great for you to concentrate on your workouts and end up with a weight on the face, foot, or your nads! ;)

reason 2: COST! This device should you have a shower and leave it in your locker ... WILL GET STOLLLLEEEEEN!
(coming from a former VERY poor starving, poorly clothed theif as a child I can tell you there are a number of quick tools to use to break your standard loop-based lock with ease of use/force.

Ankle-weights using steel rods have a diameter that fits into locks similar to basic dudley locks and a quick light applied pressure based on leverage gets anyone in grab those headphones quickly (remember going into the change room anyone by a locker and open looks like it's THEIR locker). you come out the shower ... FRAEKING OUT cursing FRAK FRAK FRAK!

That is of course you goto a public gym and not your condo gym or your own in-condo Bowflex revolution.

hehe, you don't need to worry about those two reasons. Everything is well under control.

1. I can still enjoy my music even while concentrating on my workouts. I'd rather forget them at home and listen to nothing than use some cheap garbage like the Apple ear pods.

2. Yeah, they're expensive alright. But I live 1 mile from my gym and the headphones are either on my head or around my neck the whole time. I don't leave them laying around or in my gym bag. We don't have lockers at my gym and I shower at home. If I wanted to shower at the gym, I'd just bring my stuff into the bathroom with me and lock the door. The gym has several bathrooms with showers in them, not a traditional locker room.

I did want the H7's instead of the H8's but the Apple Store was all out of them and I wasn't going to leave empty handed after that long drive.

I am however disappointed that B&O just released the H7 Cenere Grey model. If that was available last month I would have bought those instead of the natural colored ones - though I do like the natural color too. But, maybe I'll buy them anyway one of these days.

My headphones are the Sony MDR-10rbt. Yes they're not B&O's and such like you guys have but they are quite comfy and sound really great. I can use them wired or wireless. I got them for $150 (CAD) on sale. Regular is $199-229.

I have a nice pair of Sony studio headphones I still use at home. One problem I have, sometimes with the B&O's - and its not the B&O's problem - is that the BT on the iPhone craps out and that bothers me. So, sometimes, at home, I'll opt for the Sony's, which plug into the iPhone, so I don't have to fuss with the BT. The BT on the iPhone also craps out when paired with my car too....

I haven't had that issue so far unless I'm far enough away from the source. But I mostly use mine wired for better sound quality. I'm looking into getting a headphone/speaker amp. Something to use on my desk for the headphones and a pair of desktop speakers.
