Those AD900X look like they'd be quite big. I returned the SHP9500 for that reason. Even the Sennheiser 598 and 558 look big as well. The Sony MDR-10rbt I have seem to fit perfectly but even they are at the smallest size setting.
Yeah, it'd be hard to find open cans that are smaller like that. Maybe some on-ears like grado or something. The HD5XX series isn't too big, but they're not small like closed portables.

Finally got the Bang & Olufsen H7's (over the ear) headphones I originally wanted last year. The H8's are fantastic too, but these H7's are even more super comfortable. Purchased from @Cnasty here at MacRumors too.

They are fantastic! I am glad you got them before the weekend and can enjoy them.

Ah, terrific, that is a really very nice story and delighted to see that the exchange worked well.

Anyway, @SandboxGeneral, I hope you enjoy the H7 B&O headphones.

I know the HD598. They are a reasonable mid-range set, nothing special but very comfortable. Like (almost) all other headphones they have no soundstage (width x depth).

I imagine you have tried them with an amplifier, but then maybe you haven't. When coupled with a decent one, their sound stage is like anything I have ever tried before. But then again, I am a simple peasant not used to HiFi speakers. Sorry it took me 3 months to comment.

The headphones I use now are the Sennheiser HD 598s. I've thought about upgrading, but I really like these for classical music and not sure if I want to change to another kind:

They are indeed really well suited to enjoy classical music. With them I do enjoy Bach's suites for cello, Mahler and Vivaldi like never before.

I recently bought the Sony Extra Base MDR-XB950BT for home and travel needs. I have a pair of Bose Sports earbuds for the gym. There are way too many headphones on the market to choose from, so I went to best buy and tried a few out. I enjoyed the sound quality and of course the base is great. I am no means an audiophile, but for $150 these are a great buy. If you are interested, go to best buy and check them out. I ran through as many youtube and amazon reviews to see if these were worth it and for the average joe looking for deeper sounding music these are it.

The only draw backs I have are they are big so it looks odd on your head, they don't fold in like beats, and it didn't come with any sort of carrying case.

My main over-the-ear headphones are the AKG K 44. They're a lot more comfortable than my old Sony MDR-XD200 and sound pretty decent to boot.

Earbuds are the JayBird BlueBuds X1. Decent wireless earbuds, but I wish they'd be a bit more comfortable and stay in my ears a little better.

¿How long does the battery last on them? I´ve just bought a pair of cheap (chinese?) earbuds simmilar to these for my wife (Francois et Mimi), and the battery does not last more than 5 hours, so I wonder if this is the norm on this class of BT earbuds.

Seems like I'm getting around that 5-6 hour point. I think that's about on par with most Bluetooth headsets in this class.

I have to say that the H7's (black ones) are way better than the H8's (natural ones) in terms of Bluetooth range. At the gym, where I use headphones the most, the H8's would start to lose signal and cut out within 10 to 15 feet from my phone. The H7's don't lose signal at all. I left my phone in the far corner of the gym and walked to the opposite corner at least 200 to 250 feet away and it never lost signal or cut out.

Sometimes I leave the phone on a table near where I'm working out and go for a lap around the perimeter of the gym between sets and the connection never, ever, fails.

I'm very impressed with these H7's. I almost wonder if there is a defect in the H8's...

Yes there is a defect in the bluetooth with B&O H8. If your serial Numbers are matched before the stated below then contact beocare or your place of purchase for a replacement. From beoworld.org a forum dedicated to B&O this has been posted:

Bluetooth reception improvements have been implemented in production from serial number:
Gray Hazel: serial number 2524849 (w1542), and
Argilla Bright: serial number 25120775 (w1543).
BeoPlay H8 Black and Natural are per definition OK from start with improved Bluetooth reception.

Wow, thank you! I will check that later on when I get home.

Just wish i'd held out for 6 months, love my QC25's but the 35's are what I want - wireless!!!!!

I'm in your exact same boat. I bought my QC25's last October before a trip to cuba...used them once...and now that these are out, I want these cordless bluetooth. I may see what I can fetch on Kijiji before I buy a pair of these to see how much cost I can re-coup and put towards the new ones.

Damn it! I succumbed and bought this. More photos after I get home and unbox

I'm thinking of buying a pair, I'm curious, why did you get them in black? Personally, I feel like the silver look more high-end, but seems like most people are getting it in black? Is there a particular reason why? Also, do your ears get hot when using them? Thanks.

I liked them better, and also had the opposite impression, that everyone was buying the silver ones. And no, my ears do not get too hot when wearing them. However, I live in México city, where the weather has been cool these days (from 13ºC to 19ºC).

With the help of some birthday money and incentive from a busted old set of headphones, I decided to do what I rarely do and splurge on some over-ear Momentum 2 headphones Sennheiser makes.

Just bought some QC35s the other day. Working in London later so will try them out on the noisy tube network.
