i need to get some new headphones, i really don't know what to get, i don't exactly have a lot of money to spend. i want some half decent sounding over ear headphones. anyone help me out?

Either Koss Portapro's or Sennheiser PX100's. Amazon has both for reasonable prices, (under $50). I own both and they are both great budget headphones. If you like your music loud, the Koss would probably please you more. Good luck. :)

i have never even looked at koss headphones before, they are cheap, like £18 which is dirt cheap for the UK.

thanks.

I just got these this afternoon (Denon AH-D501), they aren't all that comfortable but for the price they give a really good sound (much better than the Philips SHP8900's they're replacing)

I was surprised when I tried Sony's MDR-XB30 at the Sony Store.

Picked it up at Future Shop because of $10 e-Coupon.

Anyone else need two different sized foam pieces to get their headphones to fit right? My left ear needs a large while my right ear needs a medium.

You just got to be careful which ones you choose. The ksc35/75, and portapros are the favored budget cans that give you big sound. Everything else is rubbish.

At home, I've still got Denon D1001s:

For portable use, I'm saying goodbye to Phonak PFEs:

and hello to Sennheiser IE7s:

Sony MDR-NC60

Great headphones, I also have the sennheiser cx 300s if I want something a little more portable. The noise isolation on both sets is fantastic.

My old Sonys wore out and I bought a new Sony 900 and also purchased the Sennheiser Pro pair. I've noticed that headphone have gotten bigger, over the ear in the past ten years. Material wise, about an oz less. Sound quality is improved.

As of now, I use the Bose In Ear Headphones
triport-in-ear-headphones.jpg

Since the ear tips of them keep falling off for some reason, I'm looking at the monster turbine and v-moda vibe duo.

Any suggestions on which ones better and more rich?

Thanks, i'll look into them. Good thing they fixed it because, they constantly fall off and get lost.

I bought a set of Turbines to replace the V-Moda Vibe Duos that I had. The Duos were way too bass heavy for me. Go with the Turbines. You won't regret it.
