soulreaver99,

Thanks for the review. I bought a pair based on your review and some others I have read as well as some of the company's literature. They look promising.

I also noted to you in another post (on the "recent purchases" thread) that JayBird has new eartip to secure the 'phones in your ears. You can get some for free. I posted a link over there for you if you're interested.

Hm, To be honest, I'm not really sure, but you could look back in this thread and see if there's anything that appeals to you. Also you can check this website, has great information on headphones: http://www.head-fi.org/

I bought a FiiO e11 just the other day... It is cheap, and it works fine.. Having said that, there is all bunch of them out there all shapes and sizes.. and prices too...

As far as the direction is concerned.. apologies, unsure what you mean.

I got these gaming headphones ( Tritton AX720 a while back. They're great. I use them to connect to the AMP that came with it , which ultimately is connected to my XBOX 360. I can connect it to my Mac and iPhone/iPad directly - so that's great. And the Mic is detachable - so it isn't in the way at all.

This is a thread in the Picture Gallery forum where people are posting pictures of their headphones. While there is clearly some side discussion here, this is not really the place to pose this question. Posting your question in the iPod forum will be more likely to get you the help you're looking for.

1964 Quad Customs: My portable solution with the iP4. Very laid back with a smooth and refined sound, the most comfortable in ear monitor that I've ever used. I'm looking to pair them up with a Headstage Arrow sometime in the future. I can't hear squat with them on and the durable cable + non-existent micro phonics makes them perfect for the gym; being custom fit, they don't fall out either during heavy movement.

AKG K702: The flat signature makes them heavenly for classical and acoustic music. I alternate between these and the 1964 Q's for music when I'm at home. I've been using the 1964 Q more often lately due to the air conditioner being on daily (better isolation). I have these paired with a Xonar ST w/ 2x LME49720 opamps. I'm going to switch the LME49720s out for some bursons as soon as I can secure a good deal on them. My on the go laptop DAC is a musiland monitor 02.

Beyerdynamic DT990: My choice for gaming. The V-shaped signature (emphasized Bass + treble) and wide sound stage makes them perfect for first person shooters. The silky soft pillows are also quite comfortable. They do well with music in general but I tend to prefer a more neutral signature since classical and acoustic are my main genres.

They're a marketing gimmicked targeted for teenagers who want to be wearing a fashion statement rather than an actually true headphone. On one hand they have what a lot of people crave, and what a lot of headphones struggle to get, and that is having a lot of bass quantity with good aesthetics and portability, but there's also lots of gems out there in the same price range with just as much ass or even more bass, and good bass at that.

Such as DenonD1100, DT770 Pro, Audio Technica Pro700mk2, Ultrasone DJ1, Ultrasone Pro900, Sony XB series and I've heard even the new Soul by Ludacris are pretty good.
